This is because, as we've already established, you Humans are all racist.
Although Quarian is the master race, so they should probably let me play as that.

Continue to bring it up because then Bioware knows there is a market for it.

No it doesn't. It doesn't have story, choices, dialogue, interactions, or anything. The only thing they share is combat, and combat is not why I play ME.
Notice I said to me TO ME as in how I see it in my opinoin

I respond with "this is an outrage!" to at least a half-dozen minor events per week. No one gets the reference. If only you guys were around for these moments.
I feel you!!
The same happens to me!!

Although I understand where OP is coming from and fully endorse being able to experience gameplay with alien PCs, I believe it's more a matter of pragmatism than racism (or any other form of prejudice and discrimination, for that matter) for the devs to create only ONE origin for the PC in ME.
Imagine how much time would be necessary to program several alien backgrounds. The timetable would need to be two, maybe three times longer for the team to develop something decent, what with the PC anatomy, his/her animation, the creation of an alien alphabet and grammar, different clothes and accessories, different technology (ships have a different layout, as well as domestic and public environments), etc.
A solution for this human-exclusive PC problem would be, IMO, to allow the player to play as an alien in specific missions or to alternate with the human PC during missions. We could then have a DLC where you choose to play as the human PC or exclusively as the alien. That way, it would give BW more time to program the alien origin and perfect it. Even for a future installment, where the player could finally choose to have an alien origin.

It's not racist at all but pure laziness for not giving playable races a chance to be in the game. You would think that they would give playable races a larger role for Mass Effect single-player campaign for the first time to give players freedom to choose, but again they create a human-centric story out of pure laziness and incompetence. I just hope they know what they're doing.Although I understand where OP is coming from and fully endorse being able to experience gameplay with alien PCs, I believe it's more a matter of pragmatism than racism (or any other form of prejudice and discrimination, for that matter) for the devs to create only ONE origin for the PC in ME.

That's nonsense. The story is always going to be a human story. The fact that they slap some expy fake future culture and rubber masks on the humans doesn't make them less human. Unless you want a game about a hive-mind species of genderless blobs where the gameplay is all about using your ovipositor to impregnate eggs into the live young of other sapients, you're getting an exclusively human PC.

It's just my opinion.
Just like it's just my opinion that you can't ever have a non-human centric story when you're a human writer writing for a human audience.
