This is just me speculating out on my backside, in terms of who in the next DA game. (Being referenced like the Warden was in DA:I for example is a different story).

Josephine: Highly doubt it since since she seems content back home. Whatever happens with the inquisition it seems there would be no need for her to be a ambassador anyway.

Cullen: Slight chance to be if the Inquisition serves the Chantry since he stays on as commander. If the Inquisition is disbanded I do not think he would be since he either goes back home or is dead.

Leliana: Highly doubt it since she can be divine, plus it explicitly mentions her grooming others to take over her job.

Cassandra: Highly doubt it since she could be divine, serve with Leliana if she is divine or is busy rebuilding the Seekers.

Blackwall: Either dead or is out helping people reform there lives, so highly doubt it.

Iron Bull: Highly doubt it since he is either dead or with the chargers. Could make some appearance if he romanced Dorian.

Dorian: I highly expect him to be in the game since it is set in Tevinter and the Inquisitor knows him.

Solas: Yes

Vivienne: Highly doubt it since she could be divine or is the leader of the new circle.

Cole: Highly doubt it since he is with Maryden or goes back to the fade.

Varric: Highly doubt is since he is busying being Viscount.

Sera: Highly doubt it since she has the Red Jenny's and Sera things to do.

Harding: Maybe she would take Leliana's place since it mentioned her being groomed for the job.

Morrigan: Maybe, I honesty have no idea on this one.

Flemeth: Who even knows? I think Solas killed/took? her at the end of credit cutscene but have no idea.

Inquisitor: Yes, I would guess the Inquisitor might have a kind of Hawke like role (or maybe a adviser or mentor role), since whether the Inquisition disbanded or not they made it clear it will have a role in the next game.

Hawke: Highly doubt it since he/she is either dead or with Varric in Kirkwall.

Warden:  Highly doubt it since he/she is either dead or has not been shown on screen since.

So basically to sum up I expect Solas, the Inquisitor and Dorian to be in the next game. Maybe Morrigan and Harding. Everyone else probably not.

So the NPCs I like won't be in the game but some of the ones I don't will. Great.  <_<

Inquisitor: Yes, I would guess the Inquisitor might have a kind of Hawke like role, since whether the the Inquisition disbanded or not they made it clear it will have a big role the next game.

Well, this is just what I drew from it. They brought  Leilana back from the dead. Also maybe certain people show depending on your choices like with  Alistar or Loghian so who knows. Plus, I do not see how the Inquisitor would not be in the game based on the Trespasser ending, the Hawke thing was just a suggestion, he could also have a advisor or mentor type role who knows?

For the Inquisitor, I want them to be a protagonist or not show up at all. I don't trust Bioware with 'my' character. They don't have a good record for it.

As for the NPCs, you make a point but I doubt they will since it seems they want to separate DA4 from the past games a bit so the world state is easier to work with.

When the Inquisitor might have a hard time fighting now. ;)  If it wasn't for that I could see them being the protagonist of the next game. Unless they find a cool way around that.

Easy, just give the Inquisitor a prosthetic limb. We had them in real life medieval times, and that was without magic or Dwarven and Qunari engineering prowess. Bioware has already toyed with the idea since The Iron Bull was originally going to have his left arm be a prosthetic. It also explains the drop back to level 1 since the Inquisitor has to learn how to fight all over again.

True, plus if you become a Red Jenny with Sera you have a crossbow arm

I can see all of them returning, and I wouldn't mind. Dorian and Solas are kind of important if we're heading to Tevinter, I don't have any strong opinions on Harding (one way or the other), and the Inquisitor was so Vanilla that I couldn't care less what Bioware does to them in DA4. Cameo, villain, stripper? Fine by me. You can have him; go wild. Nothing they can do will make the Inquisitor any lamer than they already are.

As long as they don't resurrect any dead elves characters, it should be fine.

Edit: By "all of them" I mean the ones you mentioned, in case that wasn't clear. Aaaaand smokebomb.

Bees! As along as Bees! is back in the game, everything will be good.
