Yesterday i got my first warning point for posting a gif about Mass Effect on a Mass Effect forum.

That mod can go eat a big pile of sh!t.

 

Meanwhile they don't give warning points for those stupid and repeated threads.

Pffft I got 21 points for bullshit just because over some about social issues of Dragon Age such as racism, slavery, and self hate. And people put me in blast and want me banned because I refuse to go along with the flow. But I'm done and just be a spectator and watch the monkey show.

It's not hate that I have but pain and anger of the things they've done to us in America. And I'm still struggling to practice forgiveness but it's very hard and how Dragon Age reflected my image as a PoC how elves are treated, but I'm really trying to find peace in all this.

Not to go all politics but I get that. As an indigenous Australian the thing I'm coming to understand is that reconciliation is a two way street that requires both sides to be ready to commit.

(I've got too many nationalities to pick one to hate.)

I'm never serious. I'm at peace with where my nation is at right now. My oldest brother recently showed a palaeontologist the worlds oldest axe head.

Pretty salty today. My daughter took a huge nap at preschool yesterday so she was up til 11 pm.....I also stayed up playing Overwatch til 11 pm. Anyway, I decided not to poke the dragon and let her wake up naturally, resulting me in being late for work. I don't drink coffee so......

 

I read that as your daughter taking a huge c*** at preschool....I was wondering why you'd share that. 

 

Not only did I wake up with a sore throat, but I woke up to my first warning point. 

 

So I'm the only one without one?  I was told off for quoting someone else who used a very rude word, but that's the extent of my misdoings.

What reading these forums had taught me is that many people see the games through the fog of their own experiences.  For me that's being white and English, so I never found any correlation between the elves and real life racial issues.  

 

Then I read your posts and suddenly I'm seeing it all from an entirely different angle.  It's very interesting how different one piece of work can be interpreted, I just wish more people found it interesting as well, as opposed to 'I disagree with you very loudly and persistently until you give up'.

 

Our unique points of view should serve as a way to educate each other and make us all think.  Rarely happens though.

Yes, for the most part, I'd say there is a fairly mature air of decorum on these forums, for the most part. 

 

For example, I don't believe the majority of BSN reflect those reactionary, dangerously ill adjusted gamers that a lot of the gaming and non-gaming media report on (looking at all those who sent death threats to the guy who reported the No Man's Sky delay).

 

Then there are those who gleefully post videos of there characters killing a transgender NPC in Baldur's Gate.

 

Then there are just those who go "lol, the trailer for ME:A is going to fail and I hate ME:A, BioWare, EA, yet I'll hang around the forums and just dump my negative thoughts on a trailer I haven't seen, but have foreseen will be terrible".

 

Phew...

 

Glad there's a salty thread for me to let all this stuff out... 

 

But yeah, to summarise, for the most part, I think BSN is ok, just a shame that more often than not the ME nay and doomsayers are heard above those who have more positive stuff to say.

I also think the BSN is ok, don't worry, but it's just a bit too negative lately because the threads are going around in circles ... I'm sure many BSNers will come back for EA play (I do miss some people I met here when I arrived), I hope the discussions will become more interesting again.

 

Hopefully we will have plenty of new stuff to discuss next week ("plenty", yes I'm optimistic so I hope it won't just be a 10 seconds trailer or I will stab myself ), at least the forum will come back on railways with threads based on real facts.

 

Haha, the death threats for No Man's sky, I just read that on the press this morning and was like "whaaaaaaaaaat..........?!" no, seriously, some people are unbelievable...  >_>
