Playing through DAI, and honestly I miss Merrill T.T

I'm sure some do but, to me Sera fills the role of the elf that does stupid things. I didn't like Merril and, i like Sera even less though those two would make a hilarious comedy of errors if we could have both together.

I got you the first time, but it should have been 99.9%.

But the bigger question is, why must there always be a mage who smugly disregards risk in the mix? Why does that archetype work so well?

Vastly different and short lived cultures and races in a world where Magic can literally consume you. There can't not be a mage who smugly disregards the risks they've been taught. So far, the apostates have been a Hedge Witch taught by an ancient elf, A Dalish elf obsessed with obtaining their culture, a consensual spirit joining gone wrong, and an actual Ancient elf and those are just who we've played with. There are the hedge witches that actually practice spirit possession as part of their culture and the entirety of Tevinter where a day probably does not go by without a slave either being maimed or sacrificed for blood magic. Outside of the Human focused Circle, we should pretty much be running into risk disregarding mages left and right.

That's a great .gif, well done. I've seen that cosplayer's work on DeviantArt, and she's a really stunning Merrill.

 

It actually would have been nice to have Merrill in Inquisition. After all, when your other mages include a guy who's willing to defend the institution of slavery, a woman who considers herself above the corrupt and brutal system she's trying to enforce on everyone else, and a guy who's actively and consciously trying to destroy the world, well, what's a little blood magic compared to all of that?

 Cole's hats schematics fix if you craft Cole one of his hats (Cole's Hat & Assassin's Hat) he won't have hair, this mod fixes that.
