Okay I am back with a question. :)

I am at the point where I can pick the specialization. I realize that once I have picked a specialization and have finished its quest then I can not pick another specialization.

But I am curious ...  once I have a specialization ( Templar ... or Champion, both are very useful in the field. ) can I at least still use a tactician amulet and make changes, if I would like to try or use other standard skills and Templar or Champion skills. ( Depending on which of the two specialization I decide to pick. ) I am certain I can pick different standard skills, I am just not sure about being able to change the Templar or Champion Skills?

You can complete the quests before you pick.  What I would recommend, is do all three quests for all three specializations.  Turn them in, but don't tell them you are ready to commit.  Go buy a respec amulet and then make a save.   Be sure to not override this save.

Then commit to one of the three, respec, and go try it out.  Most specializations won't really come into their own until later levels, but it should give you an idea at least.

Alternatively you can just not pick a specialization for a while.  Wait until level 15 or so.  Play Cassandra, Iron Bull, or Blackwall while you are exploring.  Get a feel for how they play.  Be sure you give them comparable gear though.  If you didn't equip Cassandra with good gear, then playing her to get a feel for Templar might leave you feeling like Templar sucks.  I always put the best gear on my character.  But when it comes to test driving other specs, I would swap all my gear for that character so they would be as well equipped as I would be.

Good tips, thank you Bigdawg13. :)

Another tip is that while you are trying one out for size, have the other two in your party. So say you are trying out Templar, have Blackwall/Champion and Iron Bull/Reaver in your party and control them for some battles. Heck, save before a battle and run the same battle three times, controlling each one in turn.

The "Rinse and repeat" method, oh well why not. Should increase the speed at which I will ultimately choose between the specializations. But I still remember you warning about the reaver not being easy to play for the first time playing DAI, so it probably will be between Templar and Champion at the end. :)
