Spot on with the immunities!   Believe it or not I actually know about the Trooper's one because I still remember I have to kill them with my Saarebus's staff basic attack when my trusted AB fire and ice failed.    But other than that, I don't usually pay too much attention to NM immunity as I usually have a team in NM and nothing is immune to the team!    I didn't know that spearmen are immune to ice.

 

I was kind of just going to muscle memory during most of the match... following the sequence of attacks... HC, KM, LW, KM, CL, KM.. etc..   until I realized the troopers are not dying too fast..     I did made some adjustment later on skipping out some of the attacks that won't do anything.  About skipping KM.. probably because I prioritized HC/ICE KM ahead of others.  I still kind of scare of playing Avvar so I am playing more defensive.   I think as I play more of him I will feel more comfortable of not recharging my defense/guard before it is needed.

 

Yep.  Avvar is an immunity memory game.  I don't fault you (much) for hitting enemies such as the Spearmen with ice, but I think I recall reading that your constitution and cunning are near or at the defense caps, it which case the ice Elemental Affinity isn't doing you all that much good; just having an enemy chilled from Hakkon's Charge with Chilled Defense active is much stronger.  Watching you run over lone Spearmen then use Korth's Might afterwards instead of taking advantage of Coup de Grace was driving me crazy!

Funny thing is that last night I played my silent sister.. haven't played her for a while but the team needed a rogue to open doors.   At one point I was surrounded by 5 shield guys.  There is absolutely nothing I could do and my team mates are busy in the treasure room.   Because I am not hitting anything, Flow of Battle doesn't work so everything is on cooldown.   I just look them, they look at me and I try to stab them in between gap.. and finally just gave up and run off to find something else.   And all those time.. I was thinking.. if I was only on my Avvar....  I wonder if my teammates were wondering why are there a bunch of shield dudes hanging outside the door and I was no where to be seen.

I still say the Avvar Only Team, would have worked. (if Saarabot wasn't in rotation as a level one Avvar botting KM, and Ray and I had been higher level....especially me, with the lowest promotes of said group. Well...still higher than the BuffyBot. )

We almost made it too.  We have a level 1, level 7, level 13 Avvar not counting lv 1 BuffyAvvar in NM and we made to it map 4 I think.   I was very proud of us like the Templar would say.   I thought about posting the video of that here.. but I think there may be a few cuss words in it.. so I deleted it.

FINAL RATING: 83/100

Points deducted for using a potion before zone 5, as well as the use of ineffective abilities on certain enemies.  Bonus points added for the super fashionable flaming ice sword    Bonus points then removed for the super un-fashionable use of Drakescale

Not sure if this is a common issue with others but occasionally after I use crushing leap, I will be completely frozen in place. I can't move, can't use any abilities, can't use any potions, and can only stand there while I am being attacked. It just happened the last game I was in. Me and some other random AW were duo-ing a perilous run. He took the torch and we both ran to the torch lighting area. He was almost dead at this point and I tried to use crushing leap on an archer that was about to kill him. I wasn't fast enough and the AW fell as crushing leap struck the ground. Then, I was just completely frozen in place and eventually died due to being attacked without any way of freeing myself which caused the loss of the game. I remember this happened once before as I used crushing leap as well. It doesn't happen often but now since it happened at least twice, I am wondering if anyone else knows under what conditions it happens so I can try to prevent it.

Actually it hasn't to my Avvar yet, probably because I just started playing him a lot more.  But it happens to my silent sister countless numbers of time (one of my most played melee)... frozen in place for no reason.   But usually the game released me after like 15 seconds... maybe 20....

 

I think it usually only happens when there are other player(s) around me when I was doing a charge into an enemy.   In your case, doing a leap...  My guess is the other person bumped you to a temporal narnia blackhole and you are stuck there for a while.

I always thought my AW with pact belt kills things really fast.  This morning there was no PUG in perilous so I ended up soloing with AW.  I realized that Avvar kills things much faster.    But I am working on my WP and I can't use Avvar!

The AW never had the best damage output. Well with pact belt it´s boosted especially when using an electricity staff (Hakkon ) but it´s just his constant damage he´s doing with no down times because there is no need to take cover move away from enemies etc.

And the main reason (imo) why a lot of high promoted people play AWis not the the damage it´s just a dull easy relaxing way to get fast promotes.  Hell, I am doing more damage with Lego and Payback Strike and each of its hits is a crit not just one (like the secondary hits from chain lightning)

AW is great because he's ridiculous easy and safe to play. Perfect when you are starting to play a higher difficulty. And also generate lots of XP.

I use to take Pull if the Abyss to group and put enemies to sleep. And also fade cloak and spirit blade into the middle of the area dealing good spiritual damage. Along with a Hakkon + pact belt eletric damage it's not that slow.

Stone fist would be even better for the combo, but I prefer to keep the blade because it's spammable against the eletric immune enemies, so I can keep my barrier. And it's also an unique AW skill.

I can't play Avaar again until I get the PI amulet. Too many times I am swatted out of the air during my crushing leap, staggered over and over.

Pretty much, yeah. It's worse in dark areas, but isn't too noticeable most of the time. Either that or I just got used to it...

Don't use the electric smash and that goes away. I can't play with that on my screen.

I always sing - > "she blinded me.... with science" when this happens. A bit annoying at times especially when you need to charge.
