Kind of a dumb question but does using a cyclonic make Nova hit harder? And if so, is the damage even recognizable? Inquiring minds need to know!

Nova works based on the percentage of shields you have, not the total number. So.....
you are better off with a power amp on that kit.

The only time I would even consider using a cyclonic on a novaguard would be a platinum solo.

In a sense, yes, but not the way you described.
Cyclonics give you higher total shield thus reducing the "percentage loss" of shield when taking fire, so you can say it helps maintaining nova's firepower.
