Well, Cap has more chemistry with Bucky than with Agent 13. I could ship it. Though Bucky would be cuter with Falcon.

I like the idea of marriage and exploring being in a married couple, but I'd also prefer the ceremony itself take place offscreen since a headcanon wedding will always be better than what gets shown in game.

No it wouldn't. Headcanon is never better than anything.

You're in luck. There's this thing called "real life" and you can get married in it.

I don't really care one way or the other, I would like to see the relationships with squadmates and other important npcs be more dynamic in general and I don't necessarily mean in a romantic context either.

But in real life I can't get people to like me through a number-based approval system.  :crying:

In today's world that's just betting somebody half your stuff that they'll love you forever.

Thanks! Knowing how nice it is, why wouldn't one want to have one's PC experience it? Though I think my Lavellan will prefer to stay with Cullen without being married if I get around to playing Trespasser.

I just love how some dudes assume that you like romance/marriage in game because you can't get laid in real life, even though there are many people who are dating or even married that are interested in the content for various reasons. Many people love romantic movies, but that's not because they can't find romance in real life.

Well, anyway, congrats.

Marriage is a stupid idea... Were in the middle of a mission in unknown and dangerous territory and people want to marry???

Lets take for example, whenever humans have been in exploration. Europeans in ships going to America. ¿Did marriages occourred on the boats in the middle of explorations and travels? NO, ¡because people were focussed on explore and survive! They either married before, or they did after they build settlements.

¡Dont you dare Bioware to turn MEA into a dating&marriage simulator! Romances are PERFECT in the middle of war(ME: Reaper Wars Saga, and Dragon Age) of in the middle of dangerous exploration(MEA) because people are too focused on fighting, surviving and exploring to make time to play marriage, play house, and play being fathers.

Just NO. Leave romances like they are so people can enjoy romantic histories.

¿Why? Just ¿because I jajajajajaj XD sometimes like to use the opening question and admiration?

Its strange that in english exists many opening symbols, like ([{\ but no ¿ and ¡

Sometimes a text is so long and is written in a way that the only way to know id they are asking or saying or yelling is to get to the ending and see if theres a ? or ¡ and by the time you read the end you may have already read it wrong(saying instead of asking o yell)
By using their openings, theres no doubt about it ._.

There are literally millions upon millions of people throughout history that while engaging in wars or explorations got married as they did so. So you saying it doesn't make sense in these settings is objectively false.

If you don't like the option, don't choose it. That's the beauty of it being a choice, it lets those who want to marry their LIs do so and it allows those who don't to avoid doing so.

My character in Skyrim is happily married with Ysolda and with 2 adopted kids. In a game like Skyrim it feels right because there is no rush to save the world, you can just do MANY random non history quests that makes the game feel like "theres time to be happy, marry and have kids".

MassEffect IS NOT build in that way. There has always been a rush, a race against time to stop Geths and Reapers, stop Collectors and Reapers and to stop Repaers and very few little things to do... There is in no way in ME a "its a happy time to get married and have kids" like in Skyrim. ME has enough free time to invest it in romances, not marriages. So yes, its stoopeed ._.

Besides the urge or marriage sound more like the fantasy of 15 year old princesses than serious people doing serious things(exploring a dangerous and unknown galaxy), it will take away its tone or plot purpose.

There was a rush to stop the Nazis in World War 2. Doesn't change the fact that many soldiers in Europe got married while serving over there. And unless you are an employee of Bioware, don't act like you know what is and isn't in it or good for it. Your opinion is no more valid than anyone else's.

Oh, so the only people who like the idea of and want to get married are childish princesses and serious people don't do it? That is incredibly rude of you.

And no, it won't take away the game's tone or plot purpose because 1) reality is full of examples of similar things and you can't get more real than reality, and 2) It is an optional point in a minor side part of the game.

And again, you don't have to choose it if you don't want it. But why the desire to deny people of something they want because you don't want it?

WW2 lasted years. ME histories take less that few months, maybe even a month.

Its all a matter of TIME and URGENCY. If ME had a time like Skyrim, I may agree with marriage, but it doesnt, and therefore I disagree.

So? The soldiers fighting certainly didn't know that. Every day could be their last. Just like with our characters.

You ask for it to be realistic but reality doesn't support your side.

And who says this game won't be longer than a few months? Bioware certainly hasn't.

EXACTLY: every day could be their last: thats why romances work better than marriage.

You marry someone you PLAN to live long with, therefore, you marry someone who has demonstrated in a long timelapse to be an excelent/perfect life partner. As and I said, ME time(unlike Skyrim) doesnt suit for marriages, and forcing it sounds more like a desperate "15 year old princess's illusion" mentality fantasy(not criticizing it, some people love that fantasy and mentality).

No one's taking away the option of non-marriage romances. But just like there are soldiers who would sleep with someone because they could die the next day, there are others that married someone they didn't know that long because they may not have a chance later. Both happen and work, as have been proven throughout history. There is nothing fantasy about it, since it is a reality.

As a side note, there are a lot of other reasons someone may marry besides what you said. Both good and bad.

Marriage is really just an artificial construct designed to kind of "capture" women and put them in extended imprisonment so that typical men won't have to worry about them leaving for other men, fueled by their own sense of inadequacy as a partner. Not saying women can't do it men though, of course, I think some are rather eager to get in on that action...

It's as sure a modern form of slavery as there is....
