Is incendiary ammo still the best ammo to use on the ps3 due to its lower framerate compared to pc?

Or is AP or warp rounds better?

I'm trying to do platinum solos and I'm running out of shotgun mods so I want to make sure I'm using the best mods for every game.

incendiary is the best ammo for the reegar on all platforms, If you're playing a biotic maybe warp

Thanks. I just tried warp reegar and the damage against armor was considerably less. I'll stick to incendiary then.

the best ammo for the retar  reegar carbine would be the raider or the claymore.

Warp Ammo.

 

It does its damage almost immediately, you don't have to stop firing for 1 second for it to do anything. It is rare for there to be absolutely no biotics on a team, so it often multiplies your damage (Especially on the Valkyrie, who is the best Reegar user). The armour weakening AND armour damage are both great, and both help the Reegar with its one big flaw, armour damage (Ignoring range, because anything in that range is dead).

 

On a full tech team, Incendiary MAY just edge it out with the added (albeit, weaker) Fire Explosions. I would still take Warp Ammo in most cases though.

 

If your argument for using Incendiary Ammo over Warp Ammo is for any reason OTHER than Incendiary/Warp cheesing, you're just plain wrong. From a pure damage perspective, Warp Ammo is AMAZING, dare I say especially on the Reegar. If Incendiary Ammo had been programmed CORRECTLY to constantly deal the DoT instead of absorbing all previous DoTs and applying them all after it stops being reapplied, not only would Incendiary Glitching not happen, but the Ammo would be better that Warp Ammo for everything that isn't a Biotic Primer.

 

This DoT absorbing also applies to Fire Explosions, the explosion itself doesn't do enough damage to counteract the MUCH higher damage that you WOULD have done up to that point (though close to it), AND applies a DoT, that is then absorbed by the Ammo DoT, and delayed by ANYBODY shooting the target with Incendiary Ammo.

 

Over time (ie: Stop shooting whilst it shoots you back), Incendiary Ammo does considerable damage. However, Warp Ammo does MORE damage, RIGHT AWAY. Then there is the Priming Bonus, which is HUGE.

 

Don't get me wrong, I love Incendiary Ammo, it is my most used ammo type (though Warp Ammo is catching up these days), it just has its own mechanics working against it (nixing Glitching, which we all know is OP af).

For platinum solos, you are literally wasting your time if you use any ammo on the reegar other than incendiary, regardless of the kit.
