I call long hair all that is past the chin.

You have to be kidding. That was the best thing they did with her character, was to give her a modern hairstyle and soften her face with a little makeup. I've known girls in the Marine Corps that were just as hot and was similar hairstyles, although not quite as long. By the time we are flying to other galaxies, you would think that a person would be able to wear their hair however they want. Today's world would seem like barbarians living in caves to them.

 

A modern hairstyle that I'm pretty sure wouldn't be allowed while on-duty. If she tied back her hair in her combat outfit and kept it long in casual, that would make a wee bit more sense.

 

Another consideration is that, especially during a war, a military space vessel would usually operate under the assumption that it could have to spring to action at a moment's notice, either because of an attack on the ship or a sudden situation. So even military personnel who like to go it more casual when on shore leave might limit themselves to practical clothes and hair while on the ship, just in case. You'd never know when you need to throw your armor on in a hurry and any hairstyle that would take time to adjust to a helmet would be a bad idea. All of Shepard's hair options are very tellingly just things he or she can slip a helmet over without thinking about it. Ashley's hair used to be the same. Now she'd need to take time to tie it up before putting the helmet on, and unlike Miranda, she doesn't limit herself to nothing but a dinky little breather mask.

As good as that might be I doubt they'll  go further than shoulder length so certainly styles like Miranda/Ashley aer possible we may get 1 or 2 styles like Lara Croft's hair  as well but I doubt they'll go further than that but for me even if that's all they did it would be something. We'll have to wait and see.

Just have a Hair Styling Salon in the game, always felt it so weird that there was no barber or Hair Salon in any of the ME games, Always bugged me that once you created your character your stuck with it, and as we all know once your done creating and venture out in the world, your character looks all wrong in the actual game then it did in the creation part.

 

Could even make it a complete Facial reconstruction Salon!

Just have a Hair Styling Salon in the game, always felt it so weird that there was no barber or Hair Salon in any of the ME games, Always bugged me that once you created your character your stuck with it, and as we all know once your done creating and venture out in the world, your character looks all wrong in the actual game then it did in the creation part.

 

Could even make it a complete Facial reconstruction Salon!

I'd rather it be something as simple as the Mirror of Transformation from the Black Emporium but make it even simpler and have it just be a short mirror in the protagonist's quarters.

Plastic Surgery facial reconstruction. It should be expensive though.

You might be right with the shoulder length of the hair though hair is i think always bin an issue for Bioware games. Like the hair in Inquisition i have said this before i'm not sure in which topic i said it. But it looks more like plastic hair and with the technology these days hair should be more like Lara or the Witcher 3 hair that actually flows in the wind. And yes we will have to wait and see what they are going to do.

I know, strangely it was always EAware games that I found my characters not looking how I wanted them to look after I exit the CC. No matter what I tried to do in ME my characters always looked like their face was pushed in, in certain camera angles. I really hope they looked at other game's CC and take a few notes; namely Fallout 4 and saints row, to name a few I liked. With those games my characters always came out right the first time.

I take about an hour to get mine exactly the way i want it... if it isnt then i literally go and do it again

An hour maybe two but that's it i cannot recall that making a character would take me longer then that.

I should time myself. It takes me a while. Gotta be just right. Hopefully the lighting is better than DAI.

Lol no it takes me about an hour but when i start playing if something i dont like about the facial features doesnt look right i'll go back and start again
