Curiously enough, default FemShep actually look like someone's attempt to make her look like a redhead Jack. Apparently too cheap to find a face model. Does people really use the red-haired default. It is easier to make a better looking custom FemShep than a not-frog looking custom BroShep.

However, there's a subtle ME3 buff FemShep mod on nexus but in all honesty I don't think it look different than the original although the upper arm is slightly flabbier. And Shepard with lighter skin never seem to have prominent muscle definition which I blame the lighting. And those still wanting taller muscular not feminine looking FemShep and still not playing SWTOR? The game is F2P click away. FemTrooper. Ord Mantell. Havoc squad.

BTW, why no one talk about these screenshot ruining noodle bendy fingers!!! This is an outrage!!

Something like sunset overdrive but not so exaggerated for the male and more types of bodies for both.

No one actually eats a Taco Bell. They buy the stuff and get the hell out. Every one I've ever been to was practically abandoned.

But it's, so um sooo...  what's that word? Oh yeah so atmospheric. You're definitely missing out.

God I love that show. Knowing Bioware though they probably won't make the female character that toned ;_;

After DA2 most were probably just happy that they didn't look like zombie hands.

I dunno. After what happened with the male elves and qunari in Inquisition, I'm not sure Bioware cares about making good-looking/diverse character models. Then again, this is a different team, so maybe they've learned and/or care more... Or at all.

Even though I don't play as Femshep, I did attempt to play as a male elf Inquisitor, so I know the struggle. So I'm all for a better lookin' booty body.

Anyway, I'm hoping they outdo themselves with sliders/character creation this time around, 'cause I really want to play a fat Shepard. I want to be Robert Baratheon in space, and I don't think that's too much to ask.

I agree that the default Femshep is pretty ugly but creating a custom character almost always solves the problem. Even without mods, its easy to make a Femshep thats a lot better than the default one.

Can't really blame someone for not reading this whole thread.

Well, if you want to know what is being discussed and what has already been discussed in the previous pages, its is kind of important to read the whole thread. Just saying.

They did new mocap for MEA and SWTOR and we're still ignorant of the new IP they're working on. Considering the added development time, there are chances someone actually addresses this concern or just skim on it.

I agree with this, but I always, without fail, hear about how women (not individual women with their own tastes, but "women") are more attracted to the feminine bishonen boys like you see in anime or manga.

The best part is when those same women turn around and swoon over Chris Hemsworth's shirtless scenes or Chris Evans' absolutely shredded biceps, because when I think bishonen, I think of this:

chris-evans-workout-captain-america-wint

Most man don't like masculine women me included, so what it's still a women and we drool over her naked.

Feminine bishonen boys according to anime and women love it.

Fictional characters being held to impossible standards is not a gendered issue. I'm going to need some kind of citation for the claim that they come under more scrutiny than males, because this very thread shows otherwise, with several pages dedicated to what is and isn't considered realistic for male body types. A character being seen as "too skinny" or "not feminine enough" is not an especially woman-specific issue. Well, not being feminine enough is not typically a male issue, but the male equivalent of not being masculine enough is a thing that exists. Plus it's not as if female characters who aren't particularly feminine are seen as less of a woman, for lack of a better way to put it. Again, this very thread shows the opposite with the praise given to Lt. Vasquez from Aliens (and outside this thread, there's the Cassandra thread in the DAI boards, dedicated to liking a female character who is decidedly not feminine).

No, just a lot of mental midgets.

The think is no one scream how misandryst games are because we man just don't care, video game characters are sexualised and objectified so what, I like oversexualised women why should i feel bad because of some hypocrite prudes.

Like look oh Bayoneta is sexist. So what. I say good let it be. I don't go and cry how oppressed Dante is because it's fictional character.

Those have a teenage-young adult audience. Have you watch anime with more mature content? (not hentai)

Yes you right I forget to mention it's mostly for teenage girls. And Yes I watch most anime on list, I want mass effect andromeda to be like Legends of galactic heroes. sadly looks like we again have ancient evil, human are savers bringing freedom and democracy. Why can't we have 2 or more sides no good or evil.

All hail emperor Reinhard.

To which I counter with:

Ehh, this kind of a body build is just a prestage to this:

Spoiler

If we have to take a slightly more prounonced bottom in our female protagonists i'd go with this:

You can bet this one also hits the gym regularly(just look at the belly muscles, oh my...).

Also, coming back to the digital/fictional nature of our protagonists and Wonder Woman as a good example of a really nice, robust female body build:

I am sure no one would complain about a body like that not fitting a character partaking in active combat.

As for reference, I found a pic of me 21 y/o virgo in country next to my wack shack. If you look hard enough you can see my M4 with M203 attachment.

And I wasn't even considered big, just "athletically built".

Yeah, no you're totally not a narcissist.

I don't know what kind of Taco Bells you have around in your area, but the one I frequent is a fine dining establishment that's usually populated inside.

I just want the female PC to ditch the stupid DA2 "sexy run." I prefer the ME2 gorilla run to ME3, though ME1 was the best.

Since our protagonists are fully fictional/digital character, this is one of the few times one should look at the comic art for inspiration.

Example: Wonder Woman

WcXcH13.jpg

Depends on the artist, because there are comic book artists who can't draw women (and/or men for that matter) worth a damn.

If there is not body modification I think it's best to got more neutral/average body since everybody has different opinions what is just right amount of muscle, fat, sex appeal etc. With fem!Shep it seems like arms were the biggest issue, since they don't look like arms you can punch Krogan with. Otherwise I think players are quite fine with it?

Though I'd still prefer being able to modify body myself so I can make different looking characters from that aspect as well when I'm playing the game multiple times.

FemShep's whole appearance was weird in ME3. She's pear shaped with narrow shoulders, doesn't have one bit of definition or muscle, and is uglier than Keith Richards' taint.
