I think there should be two body builds to choose from for each gender, that would make a world of difference and the coding and design team would not have to work their collective behinds off. I think this would be the option with the biggest time invested / gains ratio.

Being such a huge company, Bioware should have the time and resources to pull this off .

Also, being a buff dude myself I would not want to have class-related builds, that would definitely decrease immersion for me, if I want to play an infiltrator I still want to role play myself.  I'm surely not alone with this immersion problem.

I didn't imply that if you play as adept or sentinel you should be skinny. There are plenty of men and women in Athletics sports who are slim but have pretty defined muscles and they are strong.

(However, your "strongly" disagreement was a good touch :P ;) )

still disagree. Strongly. Keep all protagonists athletic and muscular. For men like captain America or Thor. For women, crossfit girls, female MMA fighters, etc. I want to see more varied body types for NPC's.

That could work, two types of body builds for each gender. Now I think about it, why a infiltrator couldn't be stronger that a soldier if he or she relies on their strenght in case things went south? Or why a vanguard couldn't be pretty slim if he or she uses the impulse of their biotic charge and they prefer to move faster? What? And Engineer has to be skinny just because "nerd"?

Being able to decide two body types would be awesome for replays and construct the psychological profile for the PC too

As much as I would like and think a body slider could work, a possible compromise is them having a few preset body types available in the character selection. For example if there was five there can be: Chubby, Lithe, Fit, Muscular, Amazonian.

If you don't have respect for the taste or the wishes of the majority of the people who played the game and clearly disliked the sexual ambiguity "feature",

I don't see why you expect the game to cater to your very niche and particular romantic requirements.

The fact that this niche "feature" was tucked unto one of the two romances intended for straight male audience, when there were more options available to female and other audiences anyway, felt a little bit like adding insult to injury. (not that I'm too surprised considering the general attitude of the DA:I team)

In fact I am rather certain that what little interest there is in non-sexual romance, mainly exists in the female side of the fan-base.

I see no evidence your opinion is how the majority of people think, since I've seen just as many if not more people, male and female, who liked or loved it.

There was a romance like this in the male LIs as well: Solas. So it wasn't just Josephine.

Exactly. Heck, I'm a power lifter, I can overhead press 120kg/264 and deadlift 250kg/550 and what do I do for a living? I'm a pencil pusher stuck in an office.  :D

To get back on topic, I just found this old pic about a mod fixing FemSheps physique. It does not take much to make a person look weird.

It's kinda weird, though, how the upper arms are mildly ripped, yet her thighs… there's no frickin' tone.

I absolutely agree, its definitely far from perfect but dealing with the infamous noodle arms is absolute top priority as that is the worst flaw of the entire model.

It's not that FemShep's arms are thin it's that they're out of proportion with the rest of her body. Play the Citadel DLC until you come face to face with the clone. Clone Shepard looks ridiculous without armour on her arms.

Yeah, a real shame EAware sees fit to hide their stats on the more interesting in-game choices.

As for Solas, he was one out of three options, not two.

It's so ironic when Anderson tells you at the beginning that you gained weight, it's like "Anderson, are you seeing what this ****** house arrest is doing to me???? :D

You're right, it is a little bit of both. Being disproportionate was the biggest issue, but in some cutscenes the lower arms looked skeletal. No one is that thin unless they're sick or starving.

I played with MShep, and never thought how terrible that line would sound with a female character. "You're getting fat." Really, dude? LOL.

On the other hand maybe it's art imitating life, since the military doesn't really do tact. I can remember one guy who came back after a couple months of emergency leave for some family issue, being told by our Gunnery Sergeant that he looked "****** unsat," and he had probably only gained 5 pounds or so, and would not be considered unfit outside the Marines.

Does Anderson also pat Fem Shep's abdomen while mentioning her weight? The scene would then go from unintentionally funny to creepy.

YUP. It's kind of hilarious and yet... Well, Anderson, no wonder you never got married.

Yeah. My reply, which i've since deleted, was in part because i didn't realize how much fat is retained in a woman's thigh. I've since seen several pictures of some seriously cut, competitive women and even for them, unless they're flexing, the definition simply isn't there. Not that this is a problem, it's just means they're strong and healthy.

Yes, I'm not too fond of absolutely cut and super defined veiny women either. You know what? I'd love to see a female body model in ME4 that is simply a reflection of a fit healthy woman. Simple as that.  Not veiny, not super defined, not cut, not a bodybuilder not an anorexic catwalk model. Healthy and fit enough for the task which is space exploration and combat, thats it. She does not run the catwalk in fancy designers clothes, she is no nerd that sits in front of a computer 24/7 and never goes to the gym to stay fit nor does she compete in powerlifting events.

''Healthy'' also wouldn't conflict the sexy-policy of Bioware, healthy IS sexy.

Personally I think the female Qunari body model is nearly perfect, a few tweaks here and there and voilà, there you have your space exploring, gun shooting, butt-kicking sexy (sigh) female game protagonist.

Hear hear!

Energy transferred is as much mass as it's speed. You can't expect stick-figures to beat robots to death.

As we powerlifters say, you need weight to move weight. Its really that simple.

Making her wider in the waist hardly does anything other than to reduce her sex appeal and feminine curves :P:
