I mean, sure, it's fine for those who stay at camp like the halla herder or the Keeper, but you don't want bright red tattoos giving you away when you're hunting.

I wonder if, as Thedas stops getting so many technological setbacks from Blights, that history won't be so easily erased. Apparently Ameridan was an elf but that was a long time back and was erased. The Hero of the 4th Blight was an elf, and they are begrudgingly remembered, but maybe that's because the apolitical Wardens are keeping track of that?
I don't have an elven heart, if I did, it'd be the elf from an alienage, but I do wonder what will happen next to them. DAO and DA2 was not elf centered, but DAI is super duper elfy and 4 is obviously going to be so.

Divine Creators and blessed ancestors of Arlathan and the Dales, I humbly ask that you grant this thread your blessings and your protections from the depredations of the likes of N7Phantom and the gaze of The Moderator.
I invoke Elgar'nan's wrath, Mythal's justice, Falon'din's fortune, Dirthamen's enlightenment, Andruil's Three Trees, Sylaise's protection of the hearth, June's crafts to build this thread, and Gilan'nain's navigation so that this thread may never be led astray from the path.
Gods of Elvhenan, let us enjoy your favor and I will rejoice and sacrifice in your name. I give you my pet halla. And a shemlen baby.

But in the Masked Empire, it sounds more like the general set of laws which all Dalish live by. The Keeper of clan Vihnern says they have to choose which of the Way of Three Trees to follow when deciding Celene and Michel's fate.
That is, whether to exchange favors with them, deliver them to Gaspard or kill them right there.

Yeah the thing in the Masked Empire was kinda stupid. What do Dalish do in situations that have more than three options?

I can't believe they didn't just re-open the other thread. What a waste.
But nice of you to try again ![]()
I used to be a bigger "elfy" Elf fan, but I'm more in the CE type of camp these days. If there is such a thing.

I'm more interested in streetwise or commoner types.. And martial skills. Human or elf.
I also like how they both rejected ancient Elven roots and aren't much like their liberator (Solas) either. It's like they appropriated the Trickster myth for themselves and made it their own. While the actual Trickster rejects his legacy. They are something "new" instead of something old. Or something moving towards the new. And in a world that can't shut up about the "old", I'm a big fan of the "new". ![]()

As if "new" is somehow always better than the "old" and change is somehow always progressive.
Also, I'm not sure its an outright "rejection" of old elven roots. More like an involuntary forceful separation by an external force that has rendered them ignorant of knowing what they're even rejecting in the first place. And most are still trying to keep little things like Vhenadahls alive (less successfully than the Dalish).

Same thing he's doin now. But multiply it by 10.Just curious, what exactly did n7phantom do to get the last thread closed since he's polluting the celene thread
Regardless though, let's try to keep this thread drama free

Hears the loud speaker - and runs.

So doing a final run (canon) any names drawing blanks
I just steal names from stuff like LOTR and Star Wars and comic books. I named mine Jean Grey and gave her red hair, green eyes, and green tattoos.
