I know, it's a topic that has been discussed a lot, but I would like to offer a daring solution.

Usually, in games we have 3rd person view or 1st person view, or we have the option to choose according to our personal taste.

But what about if the game designers would force this concept and instead offering the option, they will adopt a system where the First person view is alternating with the Third person View.

Few minutes with FPV then few minutes with the TPW...I know, is daring, but it may offer a new type of gameplay  which (because of the different nature of these 2 types of prospective) offer different emotions, and force the player to adapt...a sort of adaptability challenge for the player.

I am perfectly aware that is a groundbreaking idea, but it may work and be actually something that could be adopted in other games.

Groundbreacking ideas are often laughed at the beginning, to become a strong reality in the future, so if you laugh, I'm quite satisfied with that... :-P

What do you think?....

I would find forced alternation unpleasantly jarring.

Also, calling your own idea groundbreaking borders on grandiloquent.

I myself hate first person as it makes me nauseous. So any first person game I will not buy best solution would be to have an option. Also going back and forth between the two would be annoying and nausea inducing

No. I would not be against a first person view, but only if I can choose when to use it, much like GTA5 or Star Wars Battlefront.

Eating glass sounds more fun than playing a game like that. Trying to aim then the game switch back to third person. Trying to explore in third person then suddenly switch back to first person. The camera angle would be woozy as hell with the constant switching. I hate FPS because I can't play them, it gives me a headache. The issue is not about not wanting to play in first person, the issue is some people CAN'T play in First Person due to motion sickness. Designing for first person also takes a lot of resources.

They could also use a rather simple solution: Frostbite 3 has featured a first/third person toggle since BF4. They just need to bind a key to it.

How about we all steer clear of the whole first person thing?

I don't like the idea about it being forced but I would however like the option for first person view. That way you can switch back and forth as you please and not be forced to play and view things in a certain way.

Ok, seriously, enough threads about first person view. If you are that desperate to play a game in first person view then go look somewhere else. I don't want Mass Effect to turn out completely into another game. I'm just glad devs don't listen to us sometimes.

As much as I like games like Alien: Isolation, SW: Republic Commando, Dark Messiah... I don't think FPV would work here.

I guess this would mean that you are have first person view and third person view in spots in game that are most appropriate. Shooting at first person view and using skills on third person view might work. But I guess having option for either one would be best to players, maybe changing view with mouse scroll or pressing button on pad.

Why did we need another thread for this? This couldn't be added to this existing thread?

S.T.O.P. Please. Want to play a first person game? There is a TON around the industry, keep Mass Effect Andromeda OUT of it.

If only forums has some people to moderate the board and they can decide whether to stop certain people from posting for a certain period of time or prevent them from posting again.

Having the option of switching between FPW and TPW is not a novelty, the novelty of my idea is the the fact that is going to be imposed to the player.

I'll say that is rather difficult to understand if it is working is one of those changes that has to be tested....

Of course it has to be well implemented, with a perfect alternating view peace...

Never say no to new food, you  may miss out the good stuff...

Cheers!

The thing is, that some people don't like to be forced every 5 min to have FPW then 5 min TPW. And there is always situations where you may want to have TPW.

I agree that you should always try new food. But this is more like being forced to eat something that you may be allergic to. (and therefore die.)

Protip: if you're trying to sell a new camera idea, don't talk about how it's going to be a challenge. Nobody wants to be challenged by the camera; the camera's job is to stay out of the way and let you play the game.

Maybe every 5 minutes they could invert the y axis on the camera too. Or switch between mouse and controller. Or flip the camera upside down
