I'm playing a world where my Warden didn't want a golem and was too busy to get Shale.  That way I can have a world where Shale was never recruited.

However I'm struggling over which tile to pick for Kitty, Amalia and Matthias' fate.  I seem to have 2 choices, the warden didn't deal with Kitty so Matthias went himself and got possessed, and the warden didn't deal with Kitty so Matthias went himself and died.

 

Which would be correct for a world where the warden never went there?  I've been searching but can't seem to find any answers to it.

I don't have the correct, true lore answer for what happens, but still. 

If you refuse to deal with Kitty and tell Matthias so, then he goes down and get's possessed. I'm pretty sure the demon never kills Matthias unless the warden forces the confrontation. And if the warden isn't there, then the confrontation would never happen, so Matthias would live. 

So of those two choices, Amalia alive, Matthias possessed seems like the more correct one. 

 

Personally I would think that they both died, either the darkspawn breached the barrier or they all starved to death. But sadly, that's not an option.

I wish there were a few more options for 'didn't do it at all'.  My warden also took her promise to Morrigan seriously so didn't go after her in Witch Hunt.  But of course that isn't in the Keep so I have to make out like she did.

I guess I could make out like I did go to Honnleath but didn't activate Shale.  Then I could just chose the option that would suit this warden in regards to Amalia and Matthias.

I like to try and do all the things, so I wanted to leave Shale as a statue just once. Missed her snark tho.

Might be interesting to see the results, if by chance she shows up again. Same with some others... like not recruiting Fenris.

 

It surprises me that I've met plenty of posters here who didn't have Shale at all (as in they didn't have the DLC). She's my favorite DAO character.

Well for the first time Wynne decided to stay at court, whereas she usually takes Shale to Tevinter.
That’s how I feel about all the tiles, I wanna do each one as it might be super important one day (probably won't tho).

A DA2 run without Fenris would be a sad thing indeed.

Yep, that's what I chose but I'd like a 'Warden didn't go after Morrigan' choice too.  If it ever came up again the game would assume Morrigan and my Warden had that little chat at the eluvian, which they obviously didn't....meh, it'll probably not come up again anyway.
