I know hardly anyone seems to be playing this one... as BG is the go-to choice for early Bioware but I've honestly been playing it and no joke it's really a pretty amazing game...
I think I already mentioned the OST but in all seriousness the combat is actually pretty interesting they put serious investment int he whole limb targeting thing and making that a central element. It means you basically have to concentrate on each encounter which is pretty rare in a lot of games, well, I mean, moreso than most it compares very favorable to the likes of Mechwarrior and stuff.
I'd also have to say the VAs and the voice for the different machines has been pretty engaging, it's just kind of off-the cuff but I seriously find it rather enjoyable, and the missions are designed in ways that really absorb a lot of your gray matter you are given lots of key points to find the next objective and stuff like that. Anyway I made a much longer post about it in that other thread but I think you could argue it's one of Bioware's finest games super underknown though I myself didn't play it until GOG put it. I think basically BG was no mistake Bioware was going in interesting directions from the beginning.
Anyway! That's just my thoughts on the matter I don't really expect a fanbase to pop up here doing no reload challenges or whatever which is all well and good, I myself am a pretty big fan of Baldur's Gate as well but it seems like this game deserves more than a super emtpy forum IMHO.
