We got to the location where you fight Kaltenzahn the dragon. As it started to move towards us...Sera quips...'Oh, you coming to have a closer look at me' ![]()
Sera is hilarious...

to which I reply: No idiot, the dragon is coming to eat us.
Not funny, just stupid to think that all the dragon was going to do was look at her. Just as bad as here veil comments - shows stupidity, makes here look like a simpleton.

Predicted 75-25 in favour of reply being negative.
I win a cookie.
In other news, one seriously doubts Sera really only expected it to come and take a look and then, what, walk off? It's the sort of jokey thing one might say in the face of massive reptilian death.

Sera is fun. I hated her guts my first play through but she grew on me! I was actually surprised. I thought next Viv then?! NOPE. But Sera is mah girl. She has annoying moments but I get her.
Same. Sera takes a while for some players (Lavellan players in particular and Lavellan players who aimed to romance her most of all...) to really get Sera. But she's such an amazing character and I love her to bits. She's the wife of two of my Inquisitors (Trevelyan and Adaar).
@ OP: Fun fact: Sera's romance was meant to include a lot of dragon content. It's a shame this was dropped. Probably because Bull's already had that covered.

I always love her banter as well - and although I don't agree with how she "deals" with things, I still love her. She's like the little Sis my Inquisitor(s) never had.

I feel cheated. I've done at least 20 dragon battles with Sera, never heard that banter.

Same thing basically happened with me. Sera and my first character did not agree at lot and did not tolerate her pranks but I kept her around. My second character was a giant dictatorial, evil douche so they really got into arguments and he eventually told her to leave. For my third character I wanted to be friends with everyone and got to know Sera more and grew to love her odd quirkiness and cute moments, despite some annoying moments. I had the same thing with Vivienne as you, never liked her more despite 3 playthoughs with different approaches.

I love the banter between Sera, Bull and Dorian, the longer they're together the more you get the impression Bull and Dorian start seeing as a baby sister they find amusing. It's really cute to hear the fondness in their replies.

Dorian: I can't believe you're scared of magic, Sera. It's a gift as mundane to me as your bow to you. Surely you see there's nothing to fear in a properly used tool.
Sera: Tell that to all the "proper" mages wavin' their tools in people's faces!
Dorian: There's an image.
Sera: What about Coryphemus? How many "proper tools" does he have under him?
Varric: (if in party) Not hardly enough, if you ask me.
Sera: And the rebel mages? How many "proper tools" have they raised?
Dorian: That's not-- I don't think I can continue.
Sera: Right, well, I don't care how gifted you are. Don't cram it where it's not wanted.
Vivienne: (if in party) Maker, how does she not know?
Blackwall: (if in party) (Laughs)
Cole: (if in party) I'm lost.
And
Sera: What, Dorian? Stop looking at me.
Dorian: I'm wondering if familiarity would cure your suspicion of magic.
Sera: I don't need to be familiar with your tool.
Dorian: Please stop saying "tool," and consider how much magic can accomplish. There are benefits for you and everyone; as the Maker said, "magic exists to serve."
Sera: I don't care. I like you, Dorian. Don't ruin it.

Those conversations with Dorian had me howling!
It'a actually kind of sweet how Dorian was trying to help Sera get over her fear of magic...poor guy wasn't ready for the can of worms THAT conversation was leaving open. I think it hurt his feelings a bit how some people were afraid of mages and the bad rep they had across Thedas.

Huh, I don't remember this. Do you have more information about that? Sera's relationship with dragons is interesting. I think they are possibly a way for her to distill something that is conceptually difficult for her to process into a big thing she can fight and win. Sort of like Moby Dick, only successful.

All I remember was someone at BW (either one of the devs or Matt Rhodes the concept artist) saying that the romance was going to have a sex scene on a dragon.
Her codex updates after seeing a dragon for the first time, which is interesting.
