 After seeing that explorers wanted poster and footage my gut says Drack gets the role.

A lot of people on the BSN don't take Garrus anywhere, (which makes me sad,) but it creates the problem that not everyone has that attachment to the Bioware forced best friend. 

 

I love Garrus, but I'd rather not have a best friend forced upon me, I'd rather figure out who my best friend is on my own.

Personally, I didn't feel Garrus was forced on me. I mean you could

So there's that. However, Garrus, Tali, and Joker were my best friends. Because they were the only ones to stay with you. Liara ran off, Wrex had to play wet-nurse, Ashley had to b!tch, Kaidan refused to think for a second...

I'm No.1 fangirl of Garrus.

Anyone who can see all of my old posts or saw them in past, got that thing memorized about me by now.

 

But as you said, I don't want that "guy who is made so everyone loves him", just like I don't want LI that screams "biggest plot and only plot relevant LI option" like Liara did. I want all to get that same treatment of all being equally relevant to game's plot or none of them shall be except us. Simple, equality so people don't feel need to friend/ romance someone just because they are most related to main story and that you will miss something big if you don't friend/ romance them.

He has a thing for females. Femshep for example he talks to. Broshep he doesn't.

And Garrus does hate the Quarians for creating the Geth he said so in the ME1 elevator. He then goes on to say to Tali that the Quarians should atone and that killing Krogan children was the right thing to do.

He's a space racist.

It's always cool to have that character known for helping and mocking with the main character...

You realise that if you remove Garrus from the game it has no down side at all and actually makes more sense in the long run don't you?

The ending to ME3 could have actually had more resources thrown at it if they hadn't spent so much time on Garrus. Citadel could have had extended scenes and the suicide mission could even have been improved.
