You're not making many friends among those of us who don't have PI you know.
I takes ages running around them to get a hit in from behind.
Indeed, don't I know. There was actually a thread on here some time ago where many were chiming in that it wasn't that hard for silent sisters to handle shieldmen. I had problems soloing threatening with her if there were shieldmen. After several pages I asked who had PI amulets and who didn't and suddenly everyone was like 'Oh, yeah.. well, without the PI amulet it would be really hard.' :: chuckle ::

Nice. ![]()
Quick note, I wasn't soloing that game like you did and it was NM. So... ![]()
By camping on the stairs in zone 5 you can reach over 140 when you are soloing. I think I had 142 while i was farming poison kills back in the day. Try it out. ![]()

Poison is actually pretty easy to do. Go Alchemist and take the poison fart and fireflask. Load routine FC solo. Gather up all enemies and spam farts on them. There are good places to hole up in to get all of the enemies to gather up.
Large creatures was a grind I would like to never do again.
I started doing poison challenges today and am up to 500 after 2 games. Just wanted to add a note to this useful general strategy for anyone who hasn't completed the challenge yet. I found that if I equip two superb attack rings and use the nameless blade in the offhand, I more than doubled my poison damage from the first to second game. The nameless blade gives an attack boost for every enemy in a small radius. So instead of killing in 3 or 4 ticks, it would kill in 1 or 2 ticks. I know this isn't a huge deal but it allows you to drop a cloud, then move to pesky archers who refuse to group up and drop another cloud during a single fire flask. Also, using Bloody Bargain in the main hand gives the speed boost so you can drop more clouds per fire flask. Using the Hakkon doesn't help since poison can't crit and the Hakkon's base damage is barely better than bloody bargain's. I might try doing solo FC threatening next instead of routine since I think there would be more enemies per game. Not sure if the slower kill time would make it worth it though.
Another random thing that I never knew. While I was just standing still and not moving, the Alchemist said some random line that I never heard before. Something like, "Hi, how are you? I'm good. I'm just standing here doing nothing. Destroying NOTHING!" Never knew the agents talked to themselves when they are standing still. I assume all of them have a static line then.

Yes they all have 2 or 3 static lines. We had a thread on here at one time in which we listed them all. That archer image is cool and yet disturbing.

That happens a lot. People forget how their gear and promotions changed what their characters were capable of. Flashing steel plus fear on crit passive helps with the shield guys.Indeed, don't I know. My preferred method was waiting for them to attack, backing away and hitting them with Hidden Blades. Easier if you have Bloody Bargain to move away faster. Flashing Steel definitely helps when it comes to more than one of them playing squash with you, though.

Got TWO Calibans yesterday. Salvaged both
(I already had 1). RNG thinks it's funny giving me ultra rare weapons that I don't need instead of the Hakkon greatsword

Nice! I just got to four, which was great.
And yet... five or even six would be better, right? Back to hunting!
----
Actually, my accomplishment yesterday was to wear the pact belt on level 1s for the first time.. well, on purpose.
Wore two life-on-kill rings and ran with the AW. Since that worked so well, I did the same for the keeper, since she is better off having barrier at level 1 anyway. Later, did it again on my AW. It actually works quite well now in perilous. Don't think I would try the same in NM.

Haha I tried it on NM FC AW 1 (with a bunch of promo lords and only 10% HoK) on reflection I should have used more HoK and played with people that didn't attack everything I went for.
Real bad idea, died once zone 2 and three times on zone 4. Just survived zone 5.
I hate NM Venatori.
As an aside, how lucky is my willpower today?

Wow you are promoting fast!
I haven't done anything since I got to 3 bars. But I only played like 3 matches in the last 2 weeks.
I did walk like a zillion miles....

Yeah, it helped playing it in a mostly-pug. I ended up with the most kills, but I really needed to in order to survive.
NM Venatori is painful as AW. I remember a while ago I decided to solo NM with my AW and got Venatori. Only made it to the start of the bridge in zone 1 FC when I was surrounded by what seemed like twelve electric spellbinder mages. I was momentarily elated to see someone join me. The joy was somewhat crushed when I realized he had come in as an AW as well. Bards do not sing about the outcome of that battle to this day, as it was a bit of a dud.

Really, it is just living in NM, and playing with others who know how to play for experience (I'm looking squarely at you Pichecuate). But, the number of characters I feel comfortable starting as a level 1 in NM is slowly increasing. Also, I stopped promoting cunning completely, so obviously willpower and constitution are shooting up a bit quicker.

Ran a whole bunch of meditative state routine/threatening solo's to get the poison and weapons challenges going(mostly 1h'ers), plus greatsword(shame the hakkon doesn't count), over the weekend. Though it offered me no social environment to blab as usual, its nice to be able to put down the controller between zones or even in the middle of a zone to grab a beer, do a dance, make dinner, etc. Additionally, ran a whole bunch of perilous and a few nightmare rounds, failed a few times, but I love that failure in this game doesn't lead to a whole bunch of WTF's in loud vulgar language! Everyone still gets decent experience, and while I don't get a completion, who gives a damn!? Not this guy with a bunch of empty beer bottles on the table!!
Constitution/Cunning starting to creep up to Willpower, enjoying playing characters I've let sit stagnant for a long time, using weird weapons with silly procs for accomplishments....could life get any better??

Got the boon of the spoon not long after I got the ham. If I ever go back to the maul challenge, which is left at around 700/2500 kills, I'll definitely use the spoon. It makes the grinding not so boring. And it's fun running around with friends all equipping bizarre weapons such as the ham, spoon and the bone, confusing pugs along the way
As for the poison and spider kills, if it means hours of soloing routine/threatening only to get titles I'm not even interested in, I'll just pass them ![]()

hmm I don't know how the banner looks like (or I didn't pay attention when I saw it), the Exterminator title is sort of cool though. It's just that I got burned out soloing many many Ferelden Castles in routine/threatening when Book 5 challenges came out, only to find very disappointing loot in the victory chest. Since then I made a decision never ever to solo FC of any difficulty
If I feel like fighting by myself I'll go for old maps. Grinding with friends is another story. Though I don't believe I can get hakkons in any time soon, we can at least have a good laugh at who gets the crappiest weapon from NM/HB dragon drops ![]()

I like to add the 370 limited time prestige points I missed out on by starting late to my current prestige, which would put me at 82 on the leader board.. ![]()
I know not everyone on the board has all those points, but it is a big hole to dig oneself out of. 370 extra promotes!
1291 prestige without them right now, so I guess 300 promotes before I can actually kiss the leaderboard. I have doubts I ever accomplish that.
