LOL the vid was awesome Hunter   It's really strange watching the same event on a different angle.   Yes Gek I was wearing the PI.   I think I counted 10 or 11 dances thru the match.   I think distance plays a part too.   I think you have to be out of its melee range but not too far out in order to get the dance.

Well, sort of a mixed bag.. I reached the second star of banker today, so I have collected 4 million gold!  Yeahhhh!

 

That also means, I have bought 750 2k chests once I reached the top loot tier, each of which had 1% chance to give me a hakkon.. but didn't.  I have also run 400 NM dragon runs since my last hakkon, each of which is supposed to currently have an 8% chance of giving me a hakkon, but none of which actually did.  

 

I don't believe in odds occurring that roughly equal the odds that a bunch of monkeys could sit down and accidentally type a Shakespearean play.  Clearly there is something wrong, either with my account or the programming on the game.. possibly both.  It's not just lazy programming to not allow for higher loot tiers, or the choice to not use a simple equation that constantly increases the chances based on the loot.  Something is actually wrong with their coding, to allow such stupendously awful odds to occur.

 

And, sadly, the bean counters decided to stop support on the game after just fourteen months of release.  

 

Oh well.. I will give it another 1M gold collected before I stop .. at least I got the PI amulet finally several weeks ago.

That just goes to show how much I played BEFORE that challenge was released as my Banker challenge only shows 3.5million.  So fk'd up not having that retroactive or not programmed in from Day 1   **grumble**grumble**

I soloed my first Perilous run last night. Took Saarebas into Orlais Mansion figuring someone would join but they never did, So I just took it slow and it was relatively easy except for  Calpernia at the end. But I just killed everyone else first and then focused on her. Nimble bloody minx isn't she?

 

I really need to have more confidence in my playing both NM and Perilous. I think I am still suffering from PTSD from having my characters die from one shot on Perilous when I first tried playing on that level.

I rarely get invites any more either.  I used to get them all the time.  Don't know if people are playing less or I have worn out my welcome. Either way still a few mates out there that I can roll with almost daily.

 

EDIT: I don't invite much myself because a few people have said when I lead there is a lag, so I wait to join others usually.

 

And congrats russ4us16. I just got the Dancer's Axe and love it. Don't have the Hakkon two handed yet tho.

Send invites, get people in and back out/rejoin. The best host usually gets it. I only get invites when I'm already in a group.

I'll trade you my 2-hander for The Bosun's blade.

I really do like playing Zither, but he is my least played character, since I end up with Popeye fingers. I do plan to play him more (especially with a Keeper who has Mana Surge.  ), since it would be nice to switch up support characters more often.

On another note, I think I need to go back to NM FC Dragons for a bit. I can't lie, RNG has been pretty forgiving to me, since I came back to DAMP, a few months ago. (Brand, Andruil's Gift, Bosun Blade, Isana Song). But I just can't seem to get my paws on a Hakkon Mercy (let alone two ). Got my first and second Hakkon through NM dragons - last fall -, so I think I may need to revisit more often. Was getting so jelly of my teammates playing Izzy, and the damage they do. Love doing support stuff, but tis fun to see big numbers now and again.

*Of course, I sort of suck at playing Izzy. So, ummm, L2P for me.*

Wear the inferno pact belt and do the rotation of Athlok Burst opener, Bacon Barrage flow, and Shield finisher.  That gets you some really good damage numbers (and eventually exploding corpses around you) while still provide the shield support.  I make a bee-line* to Athlok and the passive after it, but then I go back and get the glyphs, so after my first run I am bursting already, and then after the second run with her I can cast glyphs on the party usually.   With the passive that increases your health with each kill around you, you actually get a good amount of health pretty quick on each level, with helps with the lost health from the pact belt.

 

And all of this is an excellent experience generator.  I usually end up with around 25k experience in dragon runs and 20k in normal NM runs, and that is without hogging more than my fair share of kills as well.

 

* Do bees really fly that direct?  It seems like I usually see bees wandering around lazily on their way to the bushes.

Apparently I was having too much fun with the spoon to depart with it...seriously even after I left & rejoined with Hakkon's Valor equipped, the game somehow remembered my weapon settings and switched the spoon back into my hands    Had to leave a second time, restarting the game completely......

 

Good job of the maul kills    No dancer's axe on Reaver? ( I recall you have it?)

 

BTW last night a friend and I had a few fun perilous games where we both used h & t as hunter/duelist. Besides zipping around like spiderman, we managed to jump onto a venatori archer at the same time, double kicking him to death. I imagine it will be great fun if there are four players as hunter/duelist/assassin who all use h & t. We could have a party with the dragon at the top of FC tower

Since I only use dragon rage with reaver, I just go with highest base damage which is stone breaker. Katari and Avvar get dancer's axe.

I definitely want to see the 4 person spider man build! That sounds hilarious!
