Completed my 5k Undead kills over the weekend, and 25 storm dragons on peri, still have 3 or 4 fire peri dragons. Before going to get ready for work decided to pop a few store chests with 12k gold, and BLAMMO! 2nd to last chest there was a pretty little Hakkon's Valor inside. Now I can stop B****ing about RNG hating me, gotta say though, 0/150+ NM dragons to yield a Hakkon, but store chest came through.

I have nearly 200 NM dragons, five HB dragons and still haven't got a Hakkon drop. Did get one from a chest as tho. The Staff. I think there is some magic formula you have to get before it will drop from a dragon, just not sure what it is.
My hypothesis I have come up with off of no certain data and without any good reason would be: Game decides how much it likes your name, then judges what fashion sense you have by selection of armor, then takes into account how much you talk on the microphone vs. how much sense you make, and procedes to play Russian Roulette with numbers. It then takes that number, throws it in a blender, it goes down one of those cool marble mazes you may have had when you were a kid and lands in a slot like Plinko(thanks for that bob barker). That slot multiplies your number by a fraction and thus, this is the magic number that will give you precisely how many NM dragons you must defeat to get a Hakkon.

Got carried through my first 3 heartbreaker matches. I guess that's more of an accomplishment for the carriers than me. At least I didn't fade.

played a HB match for the 1st time in ages last night, it was a long slow torture process. The team would have failed without RQuest, not a fun game at all, I hate playing the higher levels on the dragon map and even worse, lighting dragon. We had no damage dealers, 2 AW, my sarebas and i think a lego. Just an awful 50 minute game if you can believe it. Blech,

Thank you 1cake for the invite! It doesn't seem any harder than NM because 1cake and the host did most of the work. 
I thought there will be more xp though. Started at 17 and ended up at 19.9, but it was a very fast run.

Yup lol. But host was AW.. he got barrier.. so I thought the support xp alone from him would make up for us.
20 minutes clears the other night, 25 one match due to pvp mayhem.

Wow congrats! Just an FYI which you probably already know; don't do a me and use it without putting a rune on. If you put any rune on, it essentially hits twice for every basic attack meaning two normal weapon damage and two additional rune damage for every basic attack. Without a rune it only hits once and essentially halves your potential damage.
I'm doing 200-400 per shot on the rune damage alone.... This this is amazing!
Just wondering, what do people consider fast clears on Heartbreaker?
I don't know since I only got 5 total HB matches. But it seems quite fast yesterday with 3 people and about 20 min? But it was venatori and I think that's the easier faction? I remember demon was way worst with all those stupid freeze ray and fc mages.

Depends the zone.
What I consider very fast is;
20 minutes or less in FC, no dragon.
15 minutes or less in old areas.
Hadn't played HB in a while but as Autumn already said in another post, I thought we did pretty good FC in 23min. Without the damn fade cloakers it would have been faster
I remember when I did my first 5 HB's on release with Popreller and D-Zertyk and we took 45 minutes lol

I hadn't come across that information before, and I also don't have Andruil's Gift yet, but I'm sure if I got it I would probably throw lightning on it for it to 'shine' with it's lightning damage, as I have little respect for the additional rune damage compared to basic attack damage. Thanks for the info, when I eventually get that bow, I'll throw a Lesser Fire Rune on it. roflcopter.

Yup. I always thought the bow does double damage normally, until Terrell asked me one day if it started doing double damage after I put a rune on it. I told him I never had it without the rune. Who would use a bow without putting a rune on it first? So he brought in his bow without rune (apparently he does! Oops ) in the next match and sure enough it was doing single damage. After that I tested all 3 runes... fire and ice does double and lightning switch it back to single. All working as intended of course.

Exploiting a weakness and doing awesome lightning damage to an enemy with lightning weakness is just the more extreme side of the comparison to doing some damage to an enemy with lightning weakness and fire resistance(if a fire rune was to be equipped per say). So just pondering this out, is it better to be overall mediocre and yet damage more enemies or overpower and exploit a weakness and find a different strategy around damaging enemies that have an elemental resistance of the same kind? And to add to the latter could one just look at the enemy with the elemental resistance, then turn face and pick on the next kid for their lunch money? This would make for an interesting discussion. Talk amongst yourselves(says mike meyers)

I always put a different elemental rune on my weapons because I'd been told that they don't stack. I have no idea if that is true or not but I went with it. since I haven't gotten anything new that I use in 6-8 months I haven't changed anything up.
