So what do you guys think about something like an elcor squad member? Obviously the way they would work would be completely different from normally squad members, but I think it would be possible. I remember reading in the codex that Elcor are like living tanks and can't help imagining a slow moving elcor with some sort of shoulder-mounted railgun or something.

Also please bear with me, I am new to these forums and just want to share my love of BioWare games and the random thoughts concerning them.

Interesting idea, but I don't know how an elcor would use cover. If we need different rules for one squadmate, I don't think the idea can pass an ROI test.

I don't know how an elcor would use cover.

I don't know how an Elcor would remain reliably mobile if gravity figures into our environmental interactions to any extent. I guess it could have a little hovercart.

It honestly wouldn't be the dumbest thing they've done in a Mass Effect game.

I'd prefer a Hanar companion.

I prefer NONE of the above.

By the time the firefight is over, the Elcor would  be half way to disembarking from the Mako. You do realize they move and talk slllooowwww?

If their gun has enough range, who cares?

Basically "what if the Mako was a squadmate?"

They'll have to redesign corridors, elevators, and fix a lot of clipping.

Too much work for BW.

Have fun fitting one into the Mako. Or doors.

Given that an elcor is basically siege weaponry, it would be inappropriate to use one in a battle like ME uses. Save it for cutscenes.

I like to picture elcor in a tuxedo t-shirt.  Because it's formal, but it says "I like to party."  And I like to party too.

Respectfully and honestly - not interested in active elcor squadmate.

Pensively - maybe part of ship crew instead?

would you want them to be AT-AT 2.0?

Restricted to the ship.

Preferably the kitchen area.

With a chefs hat.

And a pet bird on his shoulder.

I thought of making a suggestion about a crewmate instead of a squadmate. After reading this, I realize that no better suggestion could possibly be forthcoming.

Maybe not in MEA; but people will complain loudly, and the elcor will definitely be a bisexual LI in MEA2.

The elcor doesn't have to be an active squadmate to be on the team. Think of Chakwas/Steve/etc.

As far as cover, I'd just imagine they would have some kind of strong kinetic barriers. Now the movement limitations, yeah. I could see how that would create a problem.

I just want to see races that are not humanoid, e.g., elcor and hanar, play some kind of role within our "inner circle"/on our crew.

The elcor are like a tank, right? People can ride tanks, so therefore you should be able to ride an elcor, I guess.
