The soldiers, and to a lesser extent, engineers should learn their effing place in the pecking order, beneath the space mages boot!

It's telling that the most popular classes revolve around the soldier, the standard run and gun soldier, the same fantasy that can LITERALLY Be enacted in the real world.  The imagination and escapist fantasy desires of these people is so lowborn, so base, so peasant like it's hard to fathom.  The mages of the world, i.e. adepts, need to show these insects how insignificant they are.

I, as a proud VANG, would like nothing more than showing those puny Adepts, Sentinels, and Mundanes how weak, disgusting, inferior and, last but not least, KILLABLE they all are. Beware my Bio Charge!!!!!!!

I would rather have a storyline about antibiotic gods subjugating the lesser classes.

By which I mean quarians.

When I saw this thread, I was expecting it to be about a storyline revolving around a society within Andromeda where biotics rule over non-biotics, similar to how force users rule over non-force users in The Empire from SWTOR. I'd be down with that. Maybe they could some super biotics. Hell, the idea of there being some ultra powerful biotics being worshipped as gods by a group of people would be pretty fascinating.

I thought this thread was going to be about how the MWG races with biotics were going to be subjugating "stupid primitives" in Andromeda.

Would be nice if the classes were reasonably balanced.

Biotics may just be Sci Fi mages, but a storyline about biotics ruling over a non-biotic underclass wouldn't make as much sense as similar stories in the fantasy genre. Technology would be a huge equalizer, and being able to throw things with your mind isn't all that impressive in a universe where modern firearms exist that can kill from 500 meters out. A small biotic minority establishing themselves as a ruling aristocracy through force is just not believable.

The only way that sort of story could work is with a new alien species that has a religion that reveres biotics. Superstition could be used to explain a biotic ruling class, but not force or intimidation. Human biotics in ME:A establishing themselves as a ruling class over a non-biotic majority that possesses modern weapons, would not be plausible at all.

You post makes too much sense, it is filled to bursting with clear and reasoned argument about why biotic supremacy in the ME world would be incredibly unlikely...   But mages of all stripes ought to be the rightful rulers of the cosmos, they are not far off from ascended beings, though you could say certain engineer/droid combinations with AI and uploading consciousness into machines could get there too.  But the least ascended class is that of the pure soldier, the mundane with none of the arcane powers of the universe or the expanded capacities of AI augmenting them.  They are the muggles of the mass effect world, and the idea of such a low brow group getting the jump on more refined beings is something I find... vulgar and not right.  Like an insect taking down a lion.

Sentinels are your genetic destiny.

Infiltrators are cowards who struggle to aim with a scope.

Engineers are weak.

Adepts are useless.

Soldiers are cannon fodder.

Explain this

I couldn't get around to playing as an Engineer.  You're a galactic badAZZ on an endless path of destruction blowing sh1t up and killing people.  The Engineer label simply falls flat.

Sentinel uses overload then flare then bops you in the upper thigh with a sniper round.

You die.

Weak!

The Soldier was vastly improved by the inclusion of Fire Detonations. It's not at all a bad class. It's not my favorite, but it's not terrible, either.

I think Vanguard needs substantial work. Playing Vanguard is like playing the game on god mode. They need to find a middle ground in that risk v reward gameplay. As it is right now, it's mostly reward after reward.

Infiltrator is great, but could use a few tweaks to rein in a few issues.

The rest are pretty good and balanced as is. I don't really like the Engineer's drone powers. That stinks, since those make up a substantial part of the class' power assortment. I'd like to see something new for the class, but I'm not holding my breath. I'm sure there must be some people who really like the Engineer. They wouldn't completely redesign the class unless data strongly indicated such was needed.

The N7 Demolisher Engineer was better than the engineer dork we could play as in single player.  Demolishers weren't overpowered either and make a good model for this game's engineers.

Our new Vanguard should be similar to the N7 Slayer Vanguard

I didn't play MP. I've always sort of regretted missing it, but I wasn't willing to pay for XBL just to play ME3MP. I'm hoping there is a lot of great stuff in the MP builds that could influence SP MEA in balanced ways.

Nerd admission: I am about to jump on the ME wiki and read all about the various MP builds and powers. It's not the same as experiencing them; but I figure it might be interesting ME reading.
