Everybody knows that Infiltrator is the master race.
So true.

God created people, Colonel Colt made them equal :-))
Damping, Flashbang Grenade and Seeker Swarm makes power classes useless.
Lol @ nerdy magi losers like the OP. That act might fly in a universe where everyone's technology is stuck in the Bronze age, but here you're the type of scrub whom your betters allow to exist solely to warp/throw detonate our Disruptor ammo for Tech Bursts.
SAWs, Shotguns and Snipers > sticks (i.e. staff/ wand/ whatever other stupidshit)
John Rambo > Harry Potter
Vasili Zaytsev > Peter Pan
Shells > spells
Science > superstition
'MERICA > Middle Earth
Metal and muscle > magic and masturbatory fantasy
Fortunately Mass Effect reflects the natural order of things, with weapons ruling warfare as they should, and classes like Infiltrator, Soldier and even Engineer (as of ME3MP and kits like the Male Quarian), delivering the same wedgies and swirlies to the lesser biotic plebs as the cool kids did to their nerdfag users back in middle school.
ME desperately needs its version of the Qun for administration of such physically and intellectually inferior lifeforms. Lets call it the Qua, and have it administered by the Master Race, with their intellectually endowed advanced Tech.; ones who forswear such primitivism.
I would rather have a storyline about antibiotic gods subjugating the lesser classes.
By which I mean quarians.
Kneel before your Rightful Masters, biotic plebs. Make your pitiful [dis]abilities marginally useful by carrying my throne litter.
I didn't play MP. I've always sort of regretted missing it, but I wasn't willing to pay for XBL just to play ME3MP. I'm hoping there is a lot of great stuff in the MP builds that could influence SP MEA in balanced ways.
Nerd admission: I am about to jump on the ME wiki and read all about the various MP builds and powers. It's not the same as experiencing them; but I figure it might be interesting ME reading.
I pay for Xbox gold, but I thought regular Xbox live was free.
I guess you're watching too much X-men...
Isn't that what the biotic terrorist quests in ME1 were about? Look how well those turned out for all involved...
Don't worry, I'm joking. I also enjoy the other classes.I, as a proud VANG, would like nothing more than showing those puny Adepts, Sentinels, and Mundanes how weak, disgusting, inferior and, last but not least, KILLABLE they all are. Beware my Bio Charge!!!!!!!
Let's have a good classic mage/templar story from Dragon Age, just with biotics instead of magic!
Everyone loves those stories.
Yes Vanguards can fly
Oh damn, now i just wanna know, if i do a boost jump, can a vanguard then do a charge? Please, please, please? There's just something about being a WoW druid in bear form jumping then charging that's weirdly satisfying.
You post makes too much sense, it is filled to bursting with clear and reasoned argument about why biotic supremacy in the ME world would be incredibly unlikely... But mages of all stripes ought to be the rightful rulers of the cosmos, they are not far off from ascended beings, though you could say certain engineer/droid combinations with AI and uploading consciousness into machines could get there too. But the least ascended class is that of the pure soldier, the mundane with none of the arcane powers of the universe or the expanded capacities of AI augmenting them. They are the muggles of the mass effect world, and the idea of such a low brow group getting the jump on more refined beings is something I find... vulgar and not right. Like an insect taking down a lion.
As much as i'd like to admit otherwise, you get enough insects that act like, say, piranhas, the lion will go down, as a tasty, tasty treat.
The Soldier was vastly improved by the inclusion of Fire Detonations. It's not at all a bad class. It's not my favorite, but it's not terrible, either.
I think Vanguard needs substantial work. Playing Vanguard is like playing the game on god mode. They need to find a middle ground in that risk v reward gameplay. As it is right now, it's mostly reward after reward.
Infiltrator is great, but could use a few tweaks to rein in a few issues.
The rest are pretty good and balanced as is. I don't really like the Engineer's drone powers. That stinks, since those make up a substantial part of the class' power assortment. I'd like to see something new for the class, but I'm not holding my breath. I'm sure there must be some people who really like the Engineer. They wouldn't completely redesign the class unless data strongly indicated such was needed.

These are single player (SP) classes. The game needs an "outlet" class so you can just rock the game if you want to. It's like with other games with multiple classes, like WoW. Some classes are just easier to play, like Vanguard or Soldier. The balance should be against the bosses and if i remember correctly, the Vanguard wasn't worth a shittake when they had to fight at a distance.

Not for playing multiplayer. You need to cough up cash to use the network.
