This is the city where carta dwarves perform paradrops off the roof of buildings and blood magic in the streets isn't even blinked at. Anime jumps and animating statues is small potatoes
Then how do you explain how the Wardens know about red lyrium?

Its also the city where a mage literally shines in front of you, his voice changes and openly declares war on Templars, you ignore him and proceed to invoke the right of annulment. I mean ALL signs of being an abomination are clear as a day. You'd think Meredith would recognize.
Politics will always exist, we have it too. But if you want to compare it to Thedas then you will have to go way back in history. Sure we didn't have blood magic, but we had poison, rape and genocide. Evidently Orlais has it all too.
There is no particularly bright country in Thedas, so I'm not sure what shining example you are comparing Tevinter to. Name a country in Thedas and I will write an essay about how bad its doing.
Country politics vary depending on the country, Tevinter way's of politics are one if not nastiest in whole setting, even Orlesian nobility isn't so prone to kicking puppies as Tevinter one.
Ferelden values loyalty among nobility (no that doesn't mean every noble is loyal or a paragon) and we have no Information on Nevarra, Rivain or Anderfels ways of politics.

Tevinter nobles wouldn't kick a puppy.
They'd bleed it for power ![]()
Ummm the First Warden also sent Nathaniel Howe (or Stroud) into the Deep Roads on an exploratory expedition after we first found the Primeval Thaig, remember? Then how do you explain how the Wardens know about red lyrium?
Indeed. Waste nothing.Bianca

You never know with those pesky mages.
Indeed. Waste nothing.
It is Qunari motto.
Tevinter motto is rather "do something stupid and cause world-threat"

Ferelden has one of the worst condition and laws for Elves. You can kill to protect your property in Tevinter (slaves are property), but you can't kill to protect elves in Ferelden. Meaning their value is beneath property in Ferelden.
Don't you find it funny Orlais has terrorized Nevara and Ferelden more than Tevinter? Just a thought.
Anderfels is not even a full country, the whole place is controlled by wardens, which is basically a waste full of darkspawn. The only exception is the capital city that has nobles and etc...
Cassandra tells you Nevarra is pretty much like Orlais, petty political fights, hence she left.
Abominations are a normality on Rivain and people go to them for guidance.

Oh boy, i love how you derailed it from being trustworthy to "but my elves". You know that elves in Ferelden are free to leave unlike slaves, plus aren't likely to be used as fuel by blood mages nor killing to protect your property means a lot if you end used as fuel or worse. Not to mention Tevinter has own Alienages and given how things work in Tevinter somehow i doubt it is better or even same it is in Ferelden.
No, Tevinter is busy with Qunari, not to mention it has it's conflicts with Nevarra.Ferelden isn't also anywhere near Tevinter border while Orlais is.
Sure, but we still don't have information about their politics.
When Cassandra said that?Link?
Abomnations don't have much to do with politics.
