Then again, you have Vivienne's new Circle if she isn't Divine, but I'm not really sure how it's supposed to work if the Templars are already gone.
Probably like how her circle works if she is divine, maybe minor differences here and there.

Where is she getting Templars though? Weren't their abilities a trade secret of the Chantry's?
she is the chantry lol.Where is she getting Templars though? Weren't their abilities a trade secret of the Chantry's?
she is the chantry lol.
And it's general knowledge it's done drinking lyrium or eating it it seems
They should have had them smoking it.
Just to drive home the truth of the matter. ![]()
On the grand scale, I'm curious as to how long our chosen options are gonna stick. Regardless of whether or not each specific option is actually feasible, that won't necessarily stop Bioware from scrapping them as they see fit.
I think Southern Thedas is done with, so they may not tamper with it much.
That's what I hate about these big choices though. Same goes for Mass Effect.

Alistair is really reluctant to tell you how it's done in Origins, a Grand Cleric makes him swear not to, but I suppose this is another case of what players know becoming what everyone knows.
And honestly, there would definitely be more than a few bitter zealots eager to jumpstart a new Circle.
I don't think lyrium can be smoked. If it's "dust" idk if it can be burned to a high enough temperature. They should have had them smoking it.

As far I am aware, the lyrium consumption in and of itself isn't secret it all. I think the ritual as well as how to prepare the lyrium correctly for an initiate is a secret though.Where is she getting Templars though? Weren't their abilities a trade secret of the Chantry's?

Indeed. While I like big choices every now and then, I hate that we can never really see the after effects, because the realistic consequences would probably cause the story to diverge too much.I think Southern Thedas is done with, so they may not tamper with it much.

Noooooo. Da4 can't be the last. I love this world too much.little references at worst case we are moving elsewhere devs said they were done
I'm hoping da4 is the last

That's why I still like D&D more. 30 years old and counting... most of the same elements.. except for this anti-mage problem (at least not like this).
I do to like to the point of using references in my dialogue but the way we are going porta fans aren't pleased so best to end on a high noteNoooooo. Da4 can't be the last. I love this world too much.

Eh, if there's one (and there's definitely more than that) surviving non-Red Templar who is dissatisfied with the new status quo, I am absolutely convinced that Vivienne could find them and recruit them.
5e sucks tbh I want 2e back! That's why I still like D&D more. 30 years old and counting... most of the same elements.. except for this anti-mage problem (at least not like this).
I doubt she's take a unstable variableEh, if there's one (and there's definitely more than that) surviving non-Red Templar who is dissatisfied with the new status quo, I am absolutely convinced that Vivienne could find them and recruit them.
That's why I'm liking siding with temps, but Leli the Divine. People will love Templars/Seekers who are out doing good. Regular folks won't want a change to the status quo if it's actually helping them. Viv would have a harder time convincing them. Nor does this option eradicate mages. Even if you don't side with them in this version, it still doesn't sound bad for future mages.
regular people don't know what they want best to have a unstable powder keg decide for them lolThat's why I'm liking siding with temps, but Leli the Divine. She doesn't need to keep him, just learn how to get his powers.

I'm sure this is a surprise to you, but I really don't. The whole point of the Templars was to keep the Chantry's mage chattel in line, I'm not sure what going out and "doing good" means, but it risks them going after 'heathen' Dalish clans, or the Avvar, or any mage who looks at them funny. Zealots can't be trusted.
Again zealots are unstable logically and would he even give up the goodShe doesn't need to keep him, just learn how to get his powers.

Me I like sunshine leli and ally mages it's all going to go boom.... I really hope if we get a da5 (with dlc prologue) of a continent wide mage war various mage faction engaging in outright war... Both promages and temps will be happy
I don't think my world will go boom. At least I hope.
I feel like I'm fighting different threats at the same time... and trying to beat them at their own game. I want to provide more hope for elves (which kind of gets in both Solas' way or in the way of Qunari), I want mages with less restrictions, but still acknowledge that there's a place for do-gooders and "Order" like the Inquisition/Seekers. If I can make an attractive alternative to Solas, the Qunari, and Vivienne, then I've thwarted them. And possibly the threat of the world going "boom".

I'm redefining all of it. They become like knights errant types. It has nothing to do with watchdogging mages specifically. That happens no matter what you do with a Divine Leli. If you rebuilt the Seekers, they join that instead and do the same thing. If you conscripted them, then they all become part of the Inquisition and they do it that way. If you allied with them and cured Cullen, then they strip off their old Chantry leash and just do good as regular soldiers.
