I have to agree with others, the inventory in ME1 just felt cluttered to me sometimes. I liked how ME2 and ME3 did it, more streamlined and easier to navigate.

And made more sense in-universe, since the ship is technically our "backpack", but one that we part ways with every time we go on a mission. Still, I wish it was possible to kill the PC instantly by switching up armor while standing on a planet with no atmosphere.

I dunno what Shepard was thinking. I'll just never understand how someone could try to change their gear on the moon.

Lets take this line of thought a step further. Why does the armory for the Normandy MK II start out mostly empty? The carnifax is not a weapon so rare that you can't start the game outfitted with it.

If we start asking that kind of question all three games are going to fall apart.

Heck it's even worse for any game that has level-restricted weapons. If your level 10 tries to pick up that level 20 gun, he'll feebly pull on the handle while it stays planted firmly like Mjolnir.

And every weapon's outfitted with a security feature which blares "You're not worthy! You're not worthy!"

Back to topic, i think being able to select which weapons are favorites/favorite-configurations might be more ideal (there's no reason why you couldn't have multiple configurations for the same weapon).

I never thought of it that way, I like it.
