Hey everyone. What better way to introduce myself than with a long list of annoying questions! But actually, I have never seen these asked or I still don't know the answer to them. Some of these I could probably test but I'll see if anyone else knows the answers first.

  1. Does the archer's pin cushion ability give each separate arrow of leaping shot the damage increase? Meaning the 12th arrow would do significantly more damage than the 1st in the attack assuming they all hit?
  2. Also, but less critical, if I am at point blank range to an enemy while using the Hakkon bow, does the 2nd and 3rd arrow of the bow for each shot receive the damage increase? Not really that useful anyway since the enemy will probably be dead in 1 or 2 hits at point blank range...
  3. When using the Virtuoso buffs such as A little knight music for example, the ability has a 12 second effect. If you use it again before 12 seconds, the icon above the HUD does not refill. Does this mean you were not given another 12 seconds of the effect and that you have to wait for the first cast to completely expire before being able to cast it again? The reason I ask is because I have recently been playing winter pact cool beats build with the Virtuoso which is pretty awesome except for the fact that I can be killed with an enemy sneeze if I don't have A little knight music up.
  4. For the RT faction, what type of damage is the Knight and the Horror's projectiles? Is it technically ranged or melee? I am guessing ranged but I feel like I still take high damage from them in higher difficulties like NM even though my cunning score is twice my constitution.
  5. Is there extra damage past the initial hit due to falling down from an enemy's knockdown attack such as the shield guys' knockdown. I got the PI a while ago (from a 2000 gold chest actually which I don't think I have ever seen before!) and instantly felt like those type of attacks were not hurting me as much when I wasn't knocked down. Not sure though.
  6. If you are wearing fire pact belt with Saarebas with the fire glyph activated, when enemies hit you and start burning, is that burning damage increased as compared to not wearing the pact belt?
  7. Is the frost glyph on the Saarebas a 25% increase in defense to each of melee, ranged, and magic? Also, is spirit defense separate from magic defense since each have their own defense belt item? Is there any coupling of the two?
  8. I know the no guard generation on SS is a known glitch but does it always occur at level 1? My last 6 promotions that I remember have all had the glitch active on me only when I am a level 1.
  9. Does anyone else ever occasionally get a glitch with SS after throwing blade spamming that you can't use throwing blades again even with full stamina and of course not in cooldown?
  10. Which is better, cool beats or power chord?  (Just kidding, don't answer that. I don't want to start anything.)

That's all I can think of for now but there will probably be more in the future. And lastly, to introduce myself since only a few of you will know me from playing on the PC, I have been playing for a little less than a year. But, I have been checking the forums for about the same amount of time without an account ( ) so I am pretty familiar with it.

Working from memory here, but...

1(&2). If the projectiles hit at the same time, the damage will be the same. It's the follow-up attacks that matter most, i.e. pincushion stacking.

3. UI bug. Not all buffs can be refreshed, but those that can don't reflect that in the icon. The timer will keep going down and the dark, "empty" version will remain but the buff is only gone when the icon disappears.

4. Melee/ranged is proximity based. If they hit you from far away, it's ranged, if you're near enough, melee.

5. If there is, it doesn't seem worth noting. Chain knockdowns are the real killer.

6. It should, but I wouldn't be surprised if not. Fire glyph damage doesn't belong to anyone once it's out there (no heal on kill if an enemy dies from it). Haven't noticed a marked increase since I started using the pact belt, but I could be wrong.

7. Damage resistance and [type] defense are two different things. It should essentially be a 25% reduction to damage received before defenses. Spirit damage is just another "element", reduced by magic defense and spirit resistance from mage armor upgrades.

8. Not sure. I do remember it happening most when I took a level 1 SS into perilous, though. Never happened when I was the host.

9. Something to do with hitting a different target than you were aiming at, I think. Happens quite often vs. the dragon since you can aim for one leg but hit another.

10. Yes.

As for 9, try to get closer. I mostly have the Throwing Blades problem when I am not close enough to enemy. Once I am in their face, it usually works fine.

10. Power Chord

Just tested these for you.

6. Fire glyph damage does increase with infernal pact belt.  Without pact belt I was doing about 150 to 200.  With pact belt I was doing about 200 to 250.

7. Ice glyph seems to only do physical damage resistance, not elemental.  I can clearly see melee damage reduced.  I let a gaint hit my barrier and he was doing consistently 179 to 180 damage.  When I put the ice glyph on, he was doing 130 to 131.   Does not seem to reduce elemental damage.   But it is hard to tell on the Saarebus.. she got lots of elemental resistance on her armor mods.  And she was using HoP which pretty much made her immune to lightning.

So funny that damage, the damage from runes in weapons is doing more damage :D When I use Glyph, it´s always Lightning, so much better imo :)

The damage shield damage is nothing... but the fire glyph increases your normal damage (basic and ability) by about 20%. ;)   I take that over lightning any day.   Lightning only make you move faster (not attack) and give you an elusive.  But if you are already in no danger of dying.. the elusive is pretty useless unless you are a duelist. ;)   I usually just give out fire glyph unless they ask for lightning.   But I still don't understand why someone with lots of promotions kept asking for lightning. :P  Unless there something I don't know about lightning glyph which could be the case.

Well with high promotions the damage is not needed and the Lightning just makes you move faster or does anyone here think you move fast enough in DA? :D Even with sprint it´s not that fast ... even worse in SP :P

I prefer lightning for melee, fire for ranged. Move speed sucks in general, though. Be nice if there was a berserk amulet or something.

But at least SP has mounts...you know, for when you want to move 10% faster.  <_< Thanks biower.

Ah.  It is because I only play silent sister and saarebas.. they both move fast already, one got bloody bargain the other got leap.  Legionnaire does move quite slow.. maybe I will ask for lightning next time. :D

Try using Scenting blood passive
It gives you significant boost to speed(just make sure you don't kill that specific enemy with low hp)
It's a pity this one given only to Two-handers

That's what I got in the video I posted chasing the nug. The low HP of the nug kept me in pace.

Who the **** would argue about something as stupid as that? Everyone knows that the best build is Gya's Hot Licks build based off of Fury Road (I would link it, but I'm too lazy to figure out how to do that from my phone).

Seriously though, it's all about Battle of the Bands and Fast Beats. Hasten up the real damage dealers.

Shame really. Virtuoso was the go to support class.....until Saarebas got released.

I played Virtuoso a lot ! Not touched it in ages and never plan to again.

Except for the ridiculous barrier spam, I think Zither would be the better supporter (especially A little Knight Music) but mana regeneration sucks a bit and the handling of abilities ... well, I am not saying it´s hard to play him (but I prefer to be host, sucks so much with lag ;) ) but you can cast Athlok Burst + Ring + Sataar Shield with the horny girl while the guy with the guitar is still trying to figure out which cord he should hit :D
