Like in the title. I would be grateful for English subs and voice-over in andromeda.

DAI did have a voice-over patch, but there were no English sub for localized versions of the game (ex. Polish, Russian). One had to do some file overwriting and other things to get everything in English. It also didn't help that every time a new patch came, the whole process had to be repeated.

So this time, please just leave the option for everything in English. (I don't see why it was left out of Polish and Russian localized versions.)

Hm, seems like a localized problem to me then and you are asking for/requesting a different thing:

English Voice-Over and English Subtitles for all countries.

I'm from ol' germany and I am 100% sure, that I played Mass Effect 3 and DAI on english, with english subtitles on now and then.
So I would guess, that that is already a thing...

This.

I always wanted to get rid of polish subs since some dialogue paraphrases were very stupidly and vaguely translated.

Umm not really. as even the DAI game of the year edition still does not have the English counterparts of subtitles and voice-over. Now ME3 did not have such problems. DAI being the last game from Bioware/EA did and apparently still has.

Also, I will add that the devs of DAI did comment that we would have English subs (there was a dlc English voice-over patch for free) but we had to find a different way to go around it.

Now as DAI had the problem I would like to know if they will do something about it for MEA or should players like myself seek ways to pretend that we are from the US or something.

I don't have that problem (Western-European edition has English voice acting ánd subtitles) but I can imagine it sucks when you do. Local subtitles often suck.

And this is the reason why I'd rather drink Ryncol than play localized games.

Wizardry 8, czech localization, NEVER AGAIN!

Wasn't the English pack an optional download?

The game is in English, it was just your universal translator that translate everything you hear into your language.

Yeah, there's the English VO dialogue as a free DLC for DAI. Dunno why the OP didn't know about it.

Read OP carefully. Legenlorn mentions that they added English voice pack. What we would like is option to switch our localized subtitles to English as well.

I don't quite get why game is shipped somewhere with no English voice and subs options and somewhere with those. But at least Finland is lucky enough to have only english voice and subs, there is not even Finnish subs in the games. Just like I like it, though my dad disagrees, he's having bit hard time with Fallout cause he's not that good in English ^^;

I always play games in English, with English voice over and English subtitles, that's how we buy them here in Denmark. Funny how it changes from country to country. Couldn't you just order it online from a UK store perhaps?

It's written in English so it should be available in English. I don't want no localization ruin the translation and you can't really translate everything. It's also educational to play in another language - unless it's just a shooter...

Lucky you, Germans...

Yeah, there's the English VO dialogue as a free DLC for DAI. Dunno why the OP didn't know about it.

DLC only had VO, and was meant for some EU countries that had localized VO by default on release (Germany, France and Italy, afair). It did NOT include the texts (because the texts were already included for them anyway).

Russia (CIS region, actually) and Poland (don't ask why Poland, ok?)  have region-hard-locked native texts (which are subs, UI, codex etc). My guess is that Ukrainians and Belorussians are especially happy to be forced into Russian texts, lol. Anyway,  It's impossible to play games (ME3, DAI,  any recent Origin game - BF4, SW:Battlefront) in English without 'tweaking' them first. Int_pack for ME3 was quick, it took slightly longer to find a way of restoring DAI.

Note, that some of the BW-peope were  talking about 'English for all regions' when asked directly, up to the very DAI release date, which was misinforming people (to put it mildly).

Before someone comes up with 'oh hey, but they are cheap regions, they have it cheaper-blah-blah'  - many people I know did 'VPN-shopping'. Because Mexico and Brazil prices are the same (more or less, can be even cheaper for DLCs, actually), and they include all the languages.

So, there are only two possible outcomes for their stupid restrictions, which are :

1. People find way to buy the full international version

2. People buy local version and hack it back.

You mean that pack didn't come with the subtitles? Didn't know that; can't test it myself since I've got the US version.

Come to think of it, it's funny that Origin even shows me the pack.
