Hi:) I was playing DA Inquisition and realised that I dont have fun while exploring. It s more about moving around. The main reason for this (what I believe at least) is the camera. You just look from so far to the characters, they become distant soldiers on a battlefield. I know that this is to make the gameplay more strategic but there should be an option to set the camera to over the shoulder or something like that (like Skyrim). This way you are closer to your character and walking around feels more personal than "floating" around.

The zoom is adjustable. On PC it is usually set on the thumbwheel of the mouse. You can zoom in close or zoom back to see the whole party. The close-in zoom is pretty close but not over the shoulder close, it what I call butt view, from top of head to the butt.

If I remember correctly I wasnt able to adjust the zoom but I might have missed it (I m on console btw). But it is, as you described, on the "butt view":) I think it is still far considering other (mainly action/adventure) games. It might be just me but I believe you feel more in touch with the map when it is "over the shoulder" view.

Yikes. I knew Console didn't have Quick Save/Quick Load buttons, but no zoom control either? Did you try right stick forward and back? Maybe in Tactical? On PC you can zoom in either normal or Tactical mode with the mouse wheel.
Not to rub your face in PC master racism, but there is a console command to adjust FOV that does enable you to get almost to over-the-shoulder. The problem is that it jumps to a sort of first-person view if you set it too close. You can't see your character at all.
