I was playing on Hardcore, but I'm not sure if that is a requirement or not. I don't have a save anywhere near that mission anymore so I can't check it out right now. If no one has answered this by the time I get there in my second run, I'll go through on Veteran to confirm.

Hrm - doesn't look like it gains the "upgrade" naming but I'm guessing like the collector AR it benefits anyway from the upgrades.

I thought the Geth Rifle was for Legion only and you have to build it from a Prototype? At least that's how it is on my version (PC DDE), I am playing on Normal and I can build it.

No that's the Widow sniper rifle you can get for him.
