Huh I'm surprised, dwarf female rogues are the favourite for Iron Bull. I'm glad about that, it was awesome. ![]()

Thanks for the link! Fascinating data.
Worth checking out on Reddit. Some very pretty graphs and a few surprises. I thought I was going against trend with a dwarf female rogue x Blackwall romance, but that is the most popular combination, it turns out.
I think it's because many of the human and elf Inquisitors were romancing Cullen or Solas instead. I'm far more surprised that the most popular choice for Bull was a female dwarf rogue!
The romances where I went with the most popular combinations were Alistair, Merrill, Blackwall, Josephine and Solas. I'm also planning a human mage for Cullen, though. My biggest outlier choices were Zevran (only 2% of respondents romanced him with a male human mage) and Anders (only 1% rivalmanced him with a male rogue.)
I was surprised to see how unpopular the Rivalmances apparently were. I guess I'm one of the few that loved them and preferred them in most cases. (Merrill is the sole exception for me.)
Also, more people should romance Dorian with a qunari, because it's super cute. Glad to see that we seem to have collectively decided to give Sera the giant woman she deserves, though.

I fall into the 5.3% human male warriors who romanced Dorian. It's kinda fun to be one of the lesser used options.

That was one of my playthroughs too, the only one where I romanced him. I also fall into the minority with Merrill apparently, i romanced her as a female warrior the first time.
Something curious is that it seems like the fandom likes the "opposites attract" for their romance at least for the ones that are in opposition to the mage freedom ideal.. Fenris, Sera and Cullen were all mainly romanced by mages. And for Iron Bull most people seem to have went for him as female dwarves where there is a huge size difference (I did that romance too btw.)

Kind of what I expected. Although Josephine surprises me.
Kind of sad that Leliana doesn't get many elf male fans... it's my favorite and a good pairing (CE or Dalish).

I think with Cullen it's more a matter of liking the idea that he crushed on the female mage Warden and that he ends up with a mage in the end. My only Cullen romance, the only non-Dorian romance play I've done, was also as a female human mage and for exactly that reason.
I romanced Fenris with a female mage as well, but that is because mages were my canon for both DAO and DA2 because I like mages. The DAI mage was my first play and what I expected to be my canon for that game as well. While I liked my male rogue Hawke quite a bit, I don't care for the size disparity between male human Hawke and elf Fenris; I like my romance couples to be similar in that regard.
For Dorian, I made a human because I just prefer humans, and a warrior because I dislike the bulkier human male as a mage. While it was mostly an aesthetic choice, I also like the idea that the Trevelyan non-mage is more Dorian's peer than any of the other origins, including the Trev mage, who spent a good chunk of his life in the Circle.

I don't romance Dorian (Rogue/Cass), but I do like him for that. I'd like to call Sera my BFF, but Dorian's the real one..
On a sidenote, I find it funny he thinks you guys look alike, no matter how you used the CC ![]()

I was boring and romanced Morrigan with human noble warrior and Cullen with human mage. I like opposites attract romances and they seem to be popular among other players too.
