DAI? Addressed? If you say so.

Because heavy-armoured Cullen on the table with femQuizzy & their mountain-top open-air bed time is not something one can easily forget.

How else were the Orlesian nobles hanging around Skyhold supposed to know about the Inquisitor reaching "climax?" No ceiling = No sound barrier. :D

With the amount of shagging Geralt does, he sure has a lot of experience, uh... under his belt.

Oh please he ain't ALL THAT. He could maybe win a bronze in the Hugh Heffner Olympics, but that's it.

I really wish the two romance characters could wear some romantic/leisure attire for their private moment. Instead of nudity, BW devs should make use of the abilities to use transparency for the clothing, allowing us to see a little bit of their form and figure. For the female human, a slightly revealing peignoir or a sheer robe would look very nice, as these pics demonstrate:

Spoiler

Even a semi-open or unbuttoned shirt with high-hip panties for a women can be very sexy and attractive, without actually revealing too much. Leave something to the imagination - it often works out better. For the guy, draw-string sleeping shorts/pants look very masculine and appealing from a woman's perspective. Clothes that could be easily slipped off when the time is right. Make it romantic and alluring. Still, it's just a game.

It's a calculated diplomatic move to get all those Orlesian noblewomen fawning over Cullen during that main quest to know just what a skilled lover he is.

DAI did do 2 things better: Dialogue wheel options and romances. I hope the ME team incorporates these approaches into their game.

That said, the visuals of the scene are not that important to me, unless it's ridiculous like the underwear shower thing, but I think they know that now.

What I really want is more Emotional sizzle out of the romances. A nice, emotional build up in the game through banter bits. A LI that initiates things!  Hell, make me a little jealous by having them flirt with someone else before you're officially a Thing. Let them express a little jealousy if you flirt with another npc. You did that ME1 with Kaidan/Ashley and Liara..it was adorable.

Oh, but do get the eyes right. The eyeballs. The characters in ME3 all seemed to have these...bulge-y eyeballs. Sometimes they were okay, but most other times they had this strange Michael Jackson/Skeletor thing going on with their visage. It was very off putting.

Oh?

Cassandra's romance was designed as a quest... and a pizz poor one at that compared to others.

Dear devs!
I know that you're doing your best, but it's sometimes so easy to forget minor things in a hurry, right?
So, I've written something down for you, just in case.

People normally:

  • Don't go on top with their partner wearing full heavy armours
  • Don't caress their partner's hair and\or face wearing (armour) gloves
  • Take off their armour, clothes and underwear before...doing things
  • Don't put their panties and\or bras on before falling asleep in their lover's arms
  • Don't take shower and\or bath with their underwear on, alone or not
  • Move somewhere safe, warm and private before taking their clothes off

Best wishes,

Me.

:wizard:

ps: Have I missed something? Feel free to add.

Or don't have overly long and indulgent romance scenes to begin with since they don't benefit the game in anyway and exist only for fan service.

DAI pretty much addressed all these things.

But not completely. I'm tellin ya they need to do what the witcher did. If the Polish can do it so can the Canadians. Sure they have a different view of nudity over in Europe but still. Screw what fox news says. The ho even listens to those foolish jackals anyway?

Video games are fan service. We are fans and the service is bioware making the games so we can enjoy them.

I want to see the two characters try to run into each others arms and then be knocked backwards by the kinetic barriers.

Less appetizers, more main courses. And remember: you can only preheat the over for so long before the turkey needs to go in.

Wtf!

I'll feel like a giant pervert if it turns out this was simply a nice, helpful post advising devs on how to cook their Thanksgiving meal this holiday season...

IIRC, shields repel only objects moving on really high speeds.

Aye. The lore even states that early kinetic barriers were designed to repel EVERYTHING, and the troops would have trouble sitting down.

So they adjusted them to only stop high-velocity slugs from mass accelerator weapons.

Arguably, they wouldn't even stop weapons such as the longbow, because of it's relatively low initial projectile velocity.

Doesn't stop people from writing fics where tuning the shield generator gives them the ability to do precisely that, though... (pretty good ME/DA crossover, too... shame the author seems to have stopped writing because life)

Sex scenes are unnecessary. Indeed, Bioware best romance, Bastila from KoTOR, had only a kiss that wasn't even shown.
