Have you read the Doktor's post a few lines above? This appears to have solved the problem.
If you're just posting "Bump" and actually not reading the proposed solutions, then you actually deserve to keep having problems with the radar.

Many thanks to Doktor Weasel! For some reason, I only got the glitch at the beginning and end of the game. On my second play thru, it kicked in after Horizon and by the time I got to Illium I was ready to tear my hair out. But the AMD Optimizer worked perfectly!

*shameless thread necro* Had this issue in the Steam version of the demo, and it cropped up about 15 hours into my store-bought copy. Seems the download link on AMD's site is broken, but a little Google digging found that Optimizer. Now, no more freak-o-phrenic radar!
