Quick noob question really!
Do I need to do anything special to ge those staves? Like with the dragon weapons, that I had to use the bell and kill the dragons to get the weapons?
Cause I've spent about 200k gold and havent seen these weapons yet! 
So.... its from regular store chests? no need to kill anything on a higher difficulty?

I have no idea how much you played but I think HoP and HoD are a bit higher on the loot table.

As far as I can tell, the only items that you absolutely need to be in a high loot table to get are Hakkon's and level 27s. I remember Pronto getting a Heart of Pride on his first or second day of playing his alt.
Even ability rings that no class has the ability for.....
Are you sure? I kept my Cloak of Shadows, Thousand Cuts, etc. rings because I remember Luke taking them out of the loot table a long time ago. I have never seen one since. Did they add them back in?
Once u get like 5 Kingfishers. The HoP and HoD will start to show!
Funny I got literally dozens of HoP and HoD before I got a Kingfisher
The only advice I can give you is do not actively "want" a particular weapon/item because RNG will PURPOSELY not give it to you.
You have to convince the game (and more importantly convince yourself) that you do not desire the Heart of Pride or Heart of Despair. Once this level of "un-wanting" has been achieved, you should get the item in no time.

I used fury of the veil for quite some time. Then the mindchill staff combined with ice pact belt(started crushing perilous on AW very low promotions/fade step+). Then Yavanalis showed up but a few rounds later I got.. Heart of Pride. Took me much longer to find the dragon staff, in fact, i am fairly sure it dropped after a few copies of HoP.

Phew! Thats a relief to know! I remember farming for the goddamn Dragon weapons non-stop till I got every single one of them! Didn't want to do it all over again.

I CAN ****** RELATE TO THAT! hahahahaah. My husband is also playing on his PC and he LOOOVES the Legionnaire and all other warriors, I'm a mage lover.... he got what I wanted and I got what he wanted, like the game was trolling us for sure! LOL

This is very true. The same reason why I dont have the PI ammy. Because the DAIMP gods smile upon seeing me getting chained by mace guys.
