For with Miranda's attitude at the beginning, she would probably try to knock you out/kill you. And Jacob would most likely help her.
Then they should die and shepard would have a way of the station alone.

What if Saren and Soverign just opened with attacking the Citadel and Saren taking control of the entire station via the Council chambers, instead of throwing away Spectre status and putting Shep on their trail while finding the back door to the public and easily accessible area of the Presidium?
