My favorite is probably Kaidan.
Also love Aria, Nihlus, Kirrahe, Veetor, Kal'Reegar, Liara, Detective Anaya, Kasumi, Legion, James, Joker ... just listed them as I thought of them, which is why the order is kinda wonky lol

Oh yeah, I totally forgot about Samara. She was kinda nice too, (would have liked to romance her)- maybe a little dramatic though, just like her ''armor''. ![]()
So its Jack - Zaeed - Samara

No love for Traynor?
She's boring, her voice acting is terrible, and she never shuts up.

Some of the people from Noveria were especially interesting, like Han Olar and Dr wha's-is-face, biochemist dude. Also, Lilliheriax and Lorik Qui'in.
ME1 Wrex - random change in character in ME2 put me off + he's a jerk in ME3.
Garrus, of course, and Kirrahe.
Gavorn from Omega was pretty cool, that Salarian merc from Garrus' recruitment was a unique personality for a Salarian.
Jack would've been better if they hadn't designed her just to make it impossible for me to take her seriously - that outfit was just stupid.
Lots of minor NPCs really make the galaxy seem richer and more interesting. Shame ME3 was reduced to Shepard doing missions in a vacuum, and it didn't feel as if the galaxy existed out of Shepard's field if view.

Her voice is pretty good. The only down side I saw of her is that she didn't want to "play" my "game". Oh well. She's boring, her voice acting is terrible, and she never shuts up.

2) Javik. I read on tvtropes that he was basically a Renegade Shepard that didn't succeed in their fight and it fit. He's brutally honest, which I like. However, I also like his dry and morbid sense of humor for the same reason as I like Garrus'. It's a grim kind of humor, but it shows that even the most hardened soldiers can joke about life or death.
3) Wrex. He was my introduction to the Krogan and I was instantly pulled into his story. The krogan aren't the most original race nor with the most original story, but I liked Wrex's point of view. I also enjoyed that you had to have the charm/intimation points to get him to back down at Virmire.
Honorable mentions: Tali, Miranda (by the end of ME2,) Grunt, Legion, Liara, Mordin, EDI.
NPCs: Emily Wong, Kal Rheegar, Harbinger, Joker, Khalisa (yep,) TIM (for Martin Sheen's voice acting) and Cortez. My number one favorite is Samantha Traynor. She's awesome.

Wrex is good too as a squaddie and character. Jack is one of the best characters.
Kasumi, Samara, and Kaidan were some of the most useful characters

Also Mordin and Legion.
And I really liked Kasumi, but she didn't get enough screen time.

Cool to see Javik's pretty popular, he does have some great lines, 'tis true.
I especially loved just how, personality wise, he was completely the opposite of what I and am sure a lot of other people were expecting. Liara's reactions sort of mirrored my own to be honest.
Also one of the most tragic Mass Effect characters I think, and props to whoever designed his room on the Normandy SR-2. I thought there was a lot of interesting symbolism and themes being evoked by the room's design, and the sombre tone that Javik always set whenever talking in it.
Ok I'll stop gushing now...
He'd probably be even more so if we hadn't been required to pay 10$ day one for him. ![]()

My number one favorite is Samantha Traynor. She's awesome.
She is. She beat Shepard playing chess. excellent. Plus she is voiced by the very talented Alix Wilton Regan. My avatar.

I'm pretty fond of all of them, but my absolute favorite is Samara -- stupid outfit aside. I just adore how uncompromising she is. She's a tough old bird, and seems very sure of her way forward. And I love her.

Her black fit was good.
That should have been her default.
It contrasts against the baby ice blue skin better than that stupid red.
