The thing is, homophobes accuse gays of being promiscuous, I don't want to condone nor defend any harmful stereotype thrown at them. That's all.

This discussion is over by my part.

They're not separate problems, DA often portrays non-straight people as promiscuous. I've seen non-stereotyped gays in fiction way before DA, and DA still fails at doing so.

Julien? Nicolas? Leliana? Anders? Fenris? Merrill? Cyril de Montford? Celene? Briala? Sera? Josephine? Dagna? Scout Harding?

How are these stereotyped again?

DA has had effeminate men before as gay characters, if that's what you're referring to.  But I definitely wouldn't use a politically charged term such as that.

Traynor is probably the best LGBT character I've seen to be honest.

Most of them are bi, ergo they do not count.

Julien and Nico are very fine but they are not in the game itself.

I kinda liked how cool she was for a side character.. just didn't expect it.

Why don't bisexual characters count?

I hear the term often.

Where are you from? I've never heard "degenerate" used IRL. Except ironically, of course. Say, a hipster proudly proclaiming himself to be a degenerate, or parodying a social conservative.

Promiscuity is inmoral.

There is no reasoned basis for that claim.

Or, indeed, any moral claim.

Like I said before, ME has done lgb characters better with Cortez, Traynor and Kaidan. None of them is stereotyped. My problem is with DA.

Kaidan is basically written for females that enabled for guys. I wouldn't say they write him while thinking about male players' sake, as evidence they cut out scenes instead of replacing them.

Forget mere polyamory. I want to romance an entire species in Andromeda. That's the deal: be with them all, or be with none of them.

I still think "sex" as almost always practiced (always with protection) is really just masturbation when you think about it... just friction.

Though he doesn't really need one. He can just go non-cognitivist, or religious, or some other non-reasoned system.

I headcanon he was straight in ME1/2 but bi-curious in ME3. Because Shepard's dick is 1 dick 2 rule them all.

I'm talking more about what the developers' intentions of when they created these characters. Kaidan with his original concept was created for females, which lead to his character being more masculine when Dorian was created specifically for gay males, and that's why it's on the feminine side.

Pants off party?

Maybe......

As long as there is repectable underwear, we can probably go to an underpants party at least with no concern.
