Somehow some of you don't mind negative/stereotypical portrayals of homosexuals, perhaps you don't have a problem with it (not that I really care), but I really find said portrayals very old-fashioned and tiring.

Well I'm generally not attracted to bi LIs, that's not the same as bashing someone. It's about personal preference, not phobia, as I said I've romanced Kaidan and Fenris (and Isabela, Merrill, etc). Zev seems like a guy who isn't necessarily lust filled but rather finds sex to just be a tool. Kind of like a femme fatale if they were a dude instead.

Zev was somewhat cool, like a bisexual James Bond, but the commentary he did about "being educated in having sex with men" rubbed me the wrong way. A fun and interesting character still, one of the most memorable of DA (if Alistair was bi or gay I'd still prefer Zev though, Al is too much of a manchild for me).
My undying love of Kasumi(challenged only by Tracer from Overwatch) should suggest I like the more lighthearted characters, so all my female characters romance Alistair because he's awesome.
I don't recall that specific commentary for Zev though I did agree with his whole "How will we learn to better pleasure each other if we never talk about sex" thing he talked about at one point.

Back to the topic....It doesn't matter how the player feels personally about poly relationships one way or the other. It's just not feasible from a writer and developer perspective. The lifestyle isn't for me at all, but I'm not going to judge someone for how they are conducting their lives in this matter. I prefer and want to be with only husband. We don't want to share our relationship with anyone else. Some want to be poly and can make it work for them. More power to them. Those folks aren't effecting my life or my marriage, so I could give a toss.
Yeah it seems like a lot of effort to get it in from the writers and VAs since it requires multiple LIs.
Unless you do it like Bethesda in Fallout 4, but I suspect that was more just them being lazy because there is absolutely no dialogue about romancing multiple people. It simply just doesn't stop you from doing it.
