For starters gay don't make baby's most important think for animals, so you wrong.

Neither does the majority of heterosexual sex in western countries, since the invention of contraceptives. So unless you are against that as well, you've got nothing.

Considering that overpopulation and the negative impact that has on the enviroment are major problem facing the world, we'd be better off if fewer people were having babies.

I can't tell if you jokin or not so let me tell ya, People have the freedom to be whoever they want to be. There's no shortage of kids being born on this earth and there'll most likely never will be. Whether a person is gay or straight why does it matter to you? Worry about yourself.

Overpopulation will eventually lead to the inevitable which is the colonization of planets. But before that happens we'll probably create space stations for people to live on but that's probably not for another two hundred years. Unless....... There is prothean tech buried on Mars. ;)

Given current population trends, that's an argument in favor of homosexuality.

I feel like I'm stuck in a groundhog days, with gay toggle-people defending-people objecting. It keeps repeating at least 1-2 months.

Same idiots, different day. When a side loses in a culture war, it whines about it for a long time.

This would bring us back to the problem people had with DA2's approach to sexuality, though. I don't think making everybody poly at the player's discretion would go over any better that making everybody bi did.

That's not what I meant. In the last sentence of my post I said they can decide whom to make acceptable of polyamory and whom to make monogamous only. So no, not everyone would be ready to share PC with others. Most importantly, if they decide to implement polyamory, they also need to think of some kind of acceptance. Like, which characters would be acceptable of one another and which wouldn't stand one another even though each of them can share PC with others. In other words, if we want to be a part of poly relationship, it should be on LI's terms and not on PC's terms for a change.

Without saying anything about ethics of homosexuality, but I've read quite many speculative accounts that homosexuality might have certain advantages for certain species (including humans), and it might be adaptive to a certain degree. Even if homosexuals themselves wouldn't reproduce.

No, this is ridiculous. You're just giving a fancy Greek name for wanting to bang multiple characters. At least people who make romance requests are thinking about romance and not how many pixels they can bang. Aren't there games already like this? Pretty sure you can bang multiple women in that Witcher game and they even give you rewards for it or something.

This is essentially a lifestyle request. I thought shoving BDSM into our faces was bad enough in Dragon Age so let's not do that sort of thing again.

A lot of these romance threads give me the impression that the posters are indeed thinking about how many pixels they can bang, not to mention what type of pixels.

We'll bang, okay?

Then I lump those into the "silly sack," too. Romance is a genre, and a lot of people enjoy it; I'm someone who loves a little romance mixed into their sci-fi (big sci-fi fan here, fantasy, too, but I also like a little dash of romance on the side). I like the relationship aspect (friendship as well), the bond two characters share, just everything about it. Has absolutely nothing to do with sex I can assure you.

It's just when anything verging on porn starts sneaking into video games I start rolling my eyes and also getting quite p!ssed off because more often than not the one character who's either promiscuous or into BDSM is gonna be the gay or bi character while the straight characters are all noble and true. It's what happened with frickin Zevran and then Iron Bull (can you imagine if Cullen were the one with the BDSM kink? that would've cracked me up and upset the hell out of his fans).

I can just see this happening in MEA; six straight characters, two gay ones, and one of the gay ones is into open relationships and threesomes. Really? Ugh.

Right. I mean I'm not saying i wouldn't experience some serious Schadenfreude if for once the straight character was questionably moral in the bedroom, let's put it that way, but still. No one should have to suffer through that crap.

Yes they do. They're just less likely to do it by accident.

Where we do see homosexual behaviour. Dolphins, hyenas, bonobos. Seals will even have sex with penguins.

Well, they did loyalty conflicts in ME2. I don't see how my concept of acceptance is very different. Say, if polyamory was a thing in ME2, Jack wouldn't accept Miranda and vice versa. And as I saw it in ME1, Liara was into polyamory with Ash, but Ashley was strictly monogamous and therefore jealous.

I always laugh whenever Bioware is accused of being SJW (about the PC they are right however). If they were so progressive they wouldn't have made a single stereotyped non-straight character. Mind you, I don't have a problem with Isabela, because in the game that featured her as a LI there were other non-stereotyped same-sex romances. However in DAO we got only Zev as a male non-straight and Jesus Christ he even tells you he was made bi by the Crows (pun not intended (or maybe it is lol)) and he's pretty much a loveless nympho.

Or Kaidan.

On that note I always thought Kaidan getting angry at FemShep and storming off in a huff was somewhat funny. The confrontation scene works much better with Ashley.

Honestly I am a little forgiving of Zevran (whom I love) because, well, it was 2009. But I hear you. And I love Isabela, too. One of my all-time favorite BioWare characters (not just Dragon Age). But she was the only love interest who made it obvious she liked both sexes regardless of Hawke's sex, and guess what, she was the promiscuous one. But again, love both characters. Isabela wasn't as much of an issue as Zevran because at least players had another option (Merrill) whereas in DAO Zev was you're only s/s male option.

Sorry to go off on DA in the ME thread, but the point was, I don't want to see this sort of thing happening to ME.

1. I love Isabela

2. BioWare, apparently. (gay or bi)

EDIT: Though I want to reiterate I don't want to see this in ME period. Regardless of the love interest's preference. Mass Effect isn't a dating/f***ing sim.
