So yeah, I feel like a dirty cheater ha. I'm playing ME1 for what must be at least the 10th time, and I want to get to level 60 in one playthrough so I've set the Mako XP multiplier to 5. I've only just taken control of the Normandy, and haven't done any plot missions. I've been to two worlds in the Mako (Two of UNC: Geth Incursion planets) and I've leveled up 12 times already ha. It's weird walking around with such good weaponry so early on in the game!

I ran through ME1 yesterday using the console to beef up Shep, (just to get a play through with Rana Thanoptis dead, for some reason in all my other me1 plays I let her live), using the console is fun, specially making the mako jump 3 times higher.

I feel that you should be able to reach level 60 in one playthrough. Specifically if you did everything, including all UNC missions.

So I just tried a level 1 playthrough with my Mako multiplier set to 5.0. I reached level 60 during UNC: Geth Incursions, and had Feros, Virmire, and a number of clusters still to visit (Maroon Sea, Hawking Eta, Kepler Verge, Voyager, and the morality assignment portions of Hades Gamma). I did punch through the gap on Therum and I did make early decisions based on XP, but now I see I didn't need to.
One thing I noticed about leveling up so quickly is that I gained access to the Spectre X guns before I could afford them, so for a while the enemies had a firepower edge. Though since I was already cheating, it wasn't a problem for long. ![]()
In another thread I expressed doubt about using a Mako multiplier less than 3.0 to ensure reaching level 60, but now I think that 3.0 would be just right, for my completionist playstyle anyway.

Know the exact feeling mate. Because I'm taking out rocket turrets on non plot worlds with the Mako, there were times where killing just one would level me up twice. I've done about 4 UNC missions, but not a single plot world and I'm level 50 now. Got my squad half kitted out in Predator M gear all with spectre VII or higher. It's fun mind, but it does feel bad cheating ha.

OK, so I'm currently level 59. I've completed Therum, Feros, all the available side missions (except for BDtS), and am now at Noveria.
I'm having fun cheating actually. The game is challenging on Insanity, so having X Master Spectre gear on everyone is making it easier. I don't feel bad though, as like I say; I've beaten it before.
I've given myself some level x harpoon rounds and some Hazard armour for Liara, as well as Phantom armour for Garrus, all via the console. Pretty fun looking as badass as the powers make us ![]()
Next question. If I change the ini files so I need half the renegade points as I normally would to fill it (the idea that I quickly max renegade and paragon) will it affect relations with crewmates, or is it purely the dialogue choices that affect crew attitudes in ME1?

If it makes you feel any better, I "cheated" during my canon playthrough.
Now, it wasn't nearly as extreme as what you did, but I did give myself the super gun... for only one part of the game. Specifically, the Pinnacle Station combat simulation DLC. I did all of Vidonis' challenges legitimately. I did Ahern's bloody challenge legitimately (but god it took so many attempts). But when it came to one of the secondary challenges, the four you get after completing the first set of challenges? I could deal with Time Trial, Capture was just easy, I surpassed Survival, but then it got to Hunting. And I lost it. Maybe note, this is as a power-focused Infiltrator on Hardcore difficultly.
If you don't know or remember, in the Hunting game mode, you have to kill enemies as they constantly spawn, otherwise the timer goes down. When it hits zero, you're done. Oh right, but here's the catch! After, like, 1 minute, the game throws literally nothing but Geth destroyers at you. You know, those huge tanky dudes who's only programmed tactic is to rush directly at you and KILL YOU IN ONE PUNCH. Yep, those guys.
So... After about 43 tries, I just did it. I opened the console, typed those fabled words, "givesupergun" and went to town. Zero regrets.

Know the feeling mate. I had to drop the difficulty and console in some shredder rounds to complete three of the missions. I managed to completed Adhern's mission on insanity second time. Biotics helped a lot, especially with fast cooldowns!

Honestly, I just type Set BioAttributesPawnParty m_TalentPoints 100. And max out on my abilities. Also give Spectre X weapons, mods, Colossus X H armor etc and start at level 1 and play the game as usual...
