Well, Longclaw isn't a greatsword, but we have never seen Jon with a shield yet. However, since greatswords in this game are "absurdly large" like Lord Tywin would say I'd choose sword and shield.

Rogue, Ranger specialization. Only summons that one dire wolf.

He prefers redheads, so he'd play DA: Origins instead and romance Leliana. :P

I say two handed, there are sword models in the game that are not too outrageous, craft him one ASAP.

Going to go with sword and shield, got more of a noble rather than barbarian vibe to it. any ideas on subclasses? also, what initial choices do you think Jon would make in the game? e.g templars or mages (conscript or ally), what would he do with the grey wardens? who would he pick as divine and who would he allow to become ruler of Orlais? Romance? Companions? its a lot of questions I know but I enjoy role playing characters from other series', and dragon age is basically game of thrones with more magic

I'd go with Champion. He accepted the wilders as equals, so he wouldn't conscript. I would guess allying with the mages would be as edgy as allying with wilders.

It's been so long since I read the books, and stopped caring for the show after season 3.

As for Divine? I would guess he would stay neutral and support no one.

Probably work with Wardens, again, seeing how he wasn't dismissive of anyone willing to help.

Edit: As for Orlais, he probably wouldn't just let Celene get killed... maybe... Gaspard would be a more worthwhile ally to war against Cory, so... I'm guessing he'd make peace between the two to move things along. Just guessing.

I think he would ally with Mages, not exile the Wardens, choose Leliana as Divine, support Celene and romance Cass. He'd probably be a Champion spec-wise.

As for companions, I can't say.

Yeah, I can see that, particularly the spec. I doubt he'd want to become a Reaver or a Templar.

Sword and shield definitely, by the way the season finally of game of thrones had a certain scene very reminiscent of Dragon age! :) was very cool to see.

I retract my earlier statement. Jon Snow would be a Reaver. He's got the blood of the dragon in him. ;)
