Here's an idea, let's have relationship requirements, let's be forced to spend time, credits, blood, sweet, tears, let's be forced to deal with a needed abortion due to unfortunate circumstances neither the pc or li could've expected. Let's have all that and have a great li relationship through thick and thin, only to have the li abandon the pc!!! Let's have that, make the pc suffer for being in love and giving himself fully for so long. Have the li lie to you because they don't want to hurt you and then move away to another cluster.
What do you guys think? I think that's a great idea, a FAN TAS TIC!!! Idea, let's make the relationships like real life and have our li completely "feel bad" but still abandon you when you need them most.

Then when the miscarriage happens there is uncertainty surrounding who should feel what, with the only certainty being your LI should and does genuinely feel like committing suicide.
Whether she does or not should be left entirely up to the player with, most likely I believe; a renegade interrupt.
If she dies you should be forced to look at yourself in the mirror before each mission and every load screen from there on out should contain haunting images of your lost lover holding an unseen infant beneath white linen.
You should mourn. Fight over her possessions with your inlaws and others, eventually leading toward a final confrontation with the bosh'tet who screwed your girl on the coffee table, next to the Krogan shotguns.

Not fan of the abortion but i would like they make that part (romance) of the game deeper, meaningful to the game, to the main character.

I like the idea of losing the baby but feel it could be amplified by having her cheat first. Then, realising she is pregnant, inform the player she doesn't know who the father is.
This is what you reminded me of

I'M EFFING DYING!!!
I CAN BARELY SEE MY PHONE SCREEN.
BAAAAHAHAHAHAHSHAHAHAHA
Edit: My phone is running slow so the baby is slowly falling to the floor after a looooong wind up kick.

Krogan have phones now? Wow, that's uplifting for ya.
Back on topic: Jericho's reaction is priceless. I think he wants to laugh but is trying to remain impassive.

As if there isn´t enough drama allready.
Isabela running of if you don´t have enough influence leaving you to deal with the s***ty situation she provoked.
Ander´s depression and the his freaking great idea to blow up the chantry to help the oppressed mages (to be slaughtered).
Fenris´ anger management issues and brooding.
Dorian leaves you to help his homeland.
Iron Bull loves you but hell I doubt that guy is faithful.
Cassandra has to keep a distance because her impartiality would be questioned.
And that are only those romances I tried. I quess the Solasmancers have something to add...
Still, I like drama. But no abortions please.

Its more of a tvgun. They only make them here.
I clearly should never have stopped watching wrestling. I though Chris Jericho was dead?

Noipe, that was Chyna. She died a month or so ago. Y2J is very much alive and has taken to calling everyone "stupid idiots".

I heard about Chyna. I thought Jericho was the one who murder suicided and they didn't want to talk about him afterwards. Obviously I was mistaken and take back anything I might have said.

****! ****!!! I have no words to describe my disgust to very idea! People, you do not deserve SciFi or "sci" in general! Why, WHY long in the future when you literally can replace a head or any lost limb on someone, when you can resurrect a dead person or clone any living being, women continue to have "unfortunate circumstances", make abortions, suffer from periods and die from giving birth! Future medicine completely ignores women's health and physiology? Then it's not the future but a deep past because right now in our time any woman has all possible means to avoid "unfortunate circumstances", not to mention everything else. Gosh, it's stupid!
If you need a "the drama", can't you find something less ridiculous? It still can be understandable, like, I do not know, cultural problems? With aliens?

Any meaningful drama between the PC and companions should tie in directly to the story, like if a companion feels that the peril the group is putting themselves in makes them reconsider the nature of their relationship, or if there's a serious disagreement about certain choices you made along the way. What you're asking for is akin to a gigapet romance in the game, where you have to feed it on a regular basis to keep it alive. That's where it really starts to creep into sim territory. I'm not even going to get into the whole abortion thing. Shiagur's ass...

It's one of those "phases" where 4 out of the top 6 non-stickied threads are about romance.
And yet, somehow, I was unable to make any points from any of them...

I know this is just a troll thread, but Bioware handles breakup and cheating terribly. Witcher does break up way better than Bioware ever did. Seriously, someone is cheated on you, and you're still gonna be on friendly terms, asking you to choose between the two, even bickering among each other?
They're treating the PC like God's gift to them. They remove it, but cheating dynamic was actually very fun and real punch in the face for the protagonist who think they can sleep around with anyone and no one would be upset. It actually brings realism in the game instead of copping out and just lock in the relationship.
