I know this is just a troll thread, but Bioware handles breakup and cheating terribly. Witcher does break up way better than Bioware ever did. Seriously, someone is cheated on you, and you're still gonna be on friendly terms, asking you to choose between the two, even bickering among each other?
They're treating the PC like God's gift to them. They remove it, but cheating dynamic was actually very fun and real punch in the face for the protagonist who think they can sleep around with anyone and no one would be upset. It actually brings realism in the game instead of copping out and just lock in the relationship.
The biggest cockblock in history.

I don't think the phenomenon of people becoming possessive and territorial over an object of infatuation is so very easy to condemn. It absolutely happens in real life.
Also, I actually find most Bioware LIs reactions to be significantly more likable than the Witcher example. Yen and Triss went vengeful, which doesn't actually make Geralt seem like less of a fixation for them. When Kaidan/Ashley and Liara confronted Shepard, it was relatively mature and brief. In ME2, most characters will simply inform Shepard that they don't want to play games, and Shepard has to lock in a single option at that point.
The Witcher is a bit of a soap opera in comparison, dedicating three whole cinematic scenes to this one romance-related confrontation. For my part, I'd prefer they give the LIs varying degrees of possessiveness and intensity of their infatuation (All these complaints that the LIs are too overtly responsive to the protagonist make me a little nervous, because I'm not personally drawn to the idea of playing a protagonist who has to coax an LI into a relationship). I also think Bioware's brevity is a better choice for their romance subplots and their personalized protagonists, while The Witcher's more involved approach is good for a story that's so much more character and romance driven.
Bottom line: it is okay for some of the LIs to be attracted to the protagonist, or even to pursue them. It's not fair to condemn that kind of relationship in itself, because the alternative is often that the protagonist takes on a coercive tone in the relationship, which isn't necessarily better.

Don't leave yet, Jed, until you see Snitsky punting the baby doll all the way to the stratosphere. After all these years, he's still claiming it ain't his damn fault, dawg.

Argh, this makes too much sense. Can't we just have two LIs go after each other and the PC, friendly with both, occasionally sleeps in their bed? No fuss, no need to discuss wallpaper, just a occasionally "Wee!" after a long day's work.

Well, I want to clarify that I'm not arguing that most LIs should be amenable to an open relationship, or that any of them should be alright with the protagonist being careless with their feelings. I think it's preferable that different characters have different levels of interest in monogamy.
I also think that a polyamorous romance might suit the DA tone a lot more than the ME one, but you never know.

I can see that, though i think having a couple polyamorous individuals, even if one actually doesn't accept it later, would be realistic and still give plenty of options for monogamous choices.

Hmm, considering the alienness of polyamory, it could be a couple of aliens who seem like Asari but have polyamorous couplings which provide a "portable village" atmosphere to the raising children.
