Hypothetically, if EA were farm out the Mass Effect IP, what studio would you want on the franchise?

In this long old wait between ME3 and MEA I can't help but dream of a parallel Mass Effect series that would alleviate this current Mass Effect drought.Given any and every other EA developer are working on some kind of star wars IP or another this is unlikely but tis fun to speculate.

Obsidian would do the Mass Effect IP justice specially for those that are looking for a ME1 style experience. This along with the depth seen in Fallout New Vegas' presentation of factions etc makes one wonder what the studio could do with the Mass Effect lore.

In a swerve move I'd love to see a team like Visceral(Dead Space) have a go at the universe. Switch the genres if need be to action, stealth, heck even horror with a team that know how to create an atmosphere with some great game play.

To keep the dialogue options, I would say Bethesda, but then again I don't want it to turn into a full out "Find loot" game.

The trouble with Bethesda is their story's tend to be quite shallow. They are the masters at constructing worlds though.

To be fair, they aren't story-driven games like Bioware games, they are emergent roleplaying games where players are expected to use their own imaginations outside of the game content to tell their own stories.

I would love to see Bethesda's take on an emergent roleplaying game in the Mass Effect universe.

CD Projekt Red, because If we're speculating and stuff, I say let's go full on World Fanboy War and get the popcorn!

Yeah their stories aren't so great. I bet if they took over we'd be finding our sister or somethin

EA would only 'farm out' the IP to another EA owned studio. They'd never sell it, that would be retarded.

I love naughtydogs work, but in a series such as Mass Effect, I feel like they would make it much more linear.

Naturally the logic choice would be Obsidian. But I'd like to see Telltale doing a spin-off.

Suggesting Bethesda is a bit strange, imo.

Edit: By the way, I think Sean Murray is the future of videogames, so he should be involved as well

Maybe CDProjectRed or Obsidian.  Nothing against Bethesda but while good at world building and even lore Bethesda sucks at characters and story.  Not that I would want anyone besides Bioware working on the IP  but in the end I would want the IP to live on if something were to happen to Bioware.

Obsidian can't do shooter gameplay and their character tone is very different from BioWare's. I'd go with Naughty Dog.

Either way I would want someone that would be faithful to the Mass Effect formula of a party based TPS/RPG hybrid combat system, cinematic storytelling, and space exploration.  In the end it doesn't matter who makes the game as long as they make the priority of making it a Mass Effect game in more than just name.
