I like it, especially if not obligatory (one or two missions okay). I want to decide how much to play with it.
(For example The Witcher series' mini games solution was good, I think)

I'm kind'a mixed about mini games. Sometimes I love them, sometimes I hate them. Usually when I hate them is when I'm extremely busy with work and can usually fall asleep at my PC. That's during the summer time. When I love them is during the winter, when I have virtually no work and am looking forward to killing some time.

Way fewer mini-games, and only when it's critical. They distract and frustrate my fun way too often.
And let the casual and normal play difficulty levels have more time to complete them.

I like them if they are completely optional or if they are just as a way of earning some extra cash now and then... and if they are simple and quick to play. Quasar was fine for this, IMO.

Puzzle mini-games which make sense and can be by-passed, totally enjoy. Swoop racing… not so much.

Strictly for building trust and camaraderie among the crew

Edit: I also liked playing dice poker in The Witcher.

I liked ME2 hacking and bypass minigames as well.
Seemed like pressing the do everything key in ME3 and watching Shepard stand around bypassing was a step backwards. I guess it made the game more accessible to 4 year olds, so from that standpoint it made sense.

those were on point. They need to be more interesting and varied.I liked ME2 hacking and bypass minigames as well.

I didn't mind the hacking, but very much disliked the bypassing in ME2. It was fun at first, but after a little while it started to feel like a chore. I agree about liking optional mini games that you can kill time with once in a while, or use to earn extra money/items (when it suits your fancy to do so).

^If omnigel was still a thing, it would let impatient people skip the minigames.

Old news, really. It's been mentioned before.
I don't mind a built-in mini game. it could take you away from the main tedium of shard quests, free sex, boring romance pursuit, exploring the empty and boring planetary terrains and the possible non dialogue triggers.

I'm not a fan. Just recently played ME1 on console for the first time and noticed that the mini games are different from PC. Not that they're hard, just unnecessary.

I agree and including them in the side quests was the right decision, giving everyone a choice whether to play them or not. Optional instead of mandatory.

I wouldn't mind seeing some quality mini-games return for Mass Effect Andromeda. I could definitely see some swoop racing happening on some of those deserted worlds with the Mako
.
Also, I would like to see something like Pazaak from KOTOR make a comeback. It was a fun and unique mini-game, great for passing the time. Also fun taking on different opponents and going through a tournament in KOTOR 2.

It'd be fine as a fun little optional thing to do.
Not as much of a fan of them being required unless they're really small things.

Yes I, like them but only if they are optionals. I don't like to be forced to play mini games to unlock something for the main story (happened in 1 or 2 games I've done, like you're obliged to win a mini game against another character to continue the story... )

One or two quality, enjoyable mini-games is far better than a dozen sub-par or boring ones.
Give me Pazaak or Gwent over Quasar any day!

I didn't really classify the bypassing in ME1 as a mini-game. (To me, the mini-game in ME1 was Quasar, which I commented on above.) I agree, the hack/bypass QTE (which is really what it boiled down to on the console) was completely overdone. Essentially, you had to use it to open many of the crates and to gather all the minerals, medallions, writings, etc. ... and that alone made it rather annoying. To add insult to injury, most of the loot wasn't that great either.

I myself like those mini games a lot they are a nice distraction from what i have to do in the "real" game and they obviously do not annoy me one single bit.
