Games like this where there are a lot of characters that you can interact with them, SHOULD have mini-games. Like a poker, chess of different "versions" of those and other games, shooting targeting games, like each character having their favorite minigame, and that either way you can invite them, ect.
But these minigames should be OPTIONAL(and their quests), or trophy/achievement needed.
The reason I stopped playing Alpha Protocol is because of all the minigames, a bit like ME2 but one of them quite more difficult. Basically rpg's have hacking and lock picking minigames, both of them are getting old.

I never even made it out of the tutorial in that game. The controls are completely busted on PC.
Are the picklocking and Terminal where you guess the letters considered mini games in Fallout 4?

Old topic. I'm for it.

The lockpick wasn't nearly as annoying as the terminals. That mira terminal in ME1 is one of the worst things I can think of. I still to this day don't know what they were going for with that.
Do people like mini games in the game? A lot of RPG games that incorporate mini games like chocobo racing, poker, video games within video games like in Fallout 4, some mini little things for you to do while exploring or is it more of an annoyance?
Depends on the mini game I guess.

I very much liked playing the card game of pazaak in Knights of the Old Republic though had it not been optional I likely would not have. The same goes for swoop racing but again, had it not been mostly optional I likely would not.
I could see it being a nice bit of immersion to have optional moments with the crew where you could play a card game. I thought it was a nice touch when it happened during a conversation between the Exile and Aton in KOTOR II.
I do believe it was also possibly to play pazaak with some of the companions in both of the games. I think it was initiated simply by asking the companions in question.
Oh, I remember playing the games and loving so much the idea of the journey to save the galaxy being funded by gambling.
