One of the things that I think ME2 did better than ME3 in combat was how enemies would have additional layers of defenses on higher difficulties.

For example the Eclipse heavy gains shields at the highest two difficulty levels in ME2.  In ME3 the Cerberus trooper always is without shields or armor, leaving them wide open to powers like singularity.

I hope something like the ME2 system comes back for Andromeda.  Ideally I'd like to see humanoid enemies that wear armor and shields come with both additional layers on top of their health on Insanity.  The amount of armor could vary based on the type of armor they are wearing.

Any thoughts on what the enemy health system will be like in Andromeda and what you'd like to see?

yah that would be somethin. Better defenses on enemies depending on difficulty would be on point. I'm hoping for more of a hybrid of ME2 and 3.

Yes... enemies should have had kinetic barriers in ME3.  Doesn't make any sense that they wouldn't.

Sadly for MEA the devs could actually have a cop out explanation for enemies lacking barriers if they are Andromeda "primitives."

I'd just like tougher enimies period. As long as they're not bullet sponges I'm fine. What I'm really hoping is they'll focus on creating better AI and letting enimies use abilities from the classes like charge, cloak etc...

it did take quite a few shots to take out enemies. If they didn't have kinetic barriers one shot or two would've killed them. That's my theory. But I see your point. They should be able to lose and recharge like us.
