If Bioware implemented certain aspects from other EA games like Star Wars Battlefront, Battlefield, UFC 2,etc. What would you want from those games if anything? We already know that they're using crowd tech from McIlroy's Game. Maybe for motion captures and melee animations get some people who worked on UFC. Or Battlefield for weapon ideas. Who knows.

as much as I hate battlefront:

the weapon overheating mechanics. It is a perfect mix of ME1's overheating system combined with Gears of Wars Active reload mechanic.

I don't want to start something but what's wrong with battlefront. I'm just curious. It's a whole.lot better than call of duty I can tell you that much.

Its about the same level as the recent COD games. It is one of the worst, most shallow shooters I have ever played.

- No depth

- extreme skill gap compression

- barely any recoil on weapons

- no where near enough content

- lots of filler modes, where only about 3-4 are actually worth a damn

- power-ups even existing in a battlefront game

AND...

in comparison to the original two games, it is an absolute piece of trash. It doesnt even resemble the old games whatsoever. No more classes, vehicles are now powerups, team work is useless, barely any maps, missing modes (how is the original conquest gametype not even a multiplayer mode?), etc.

No, I'm not jumping on the bandwagon. I have played the originals, and have played the new one extensively. It is a bad shooter, and an even worse battlefront game, I would play Halo 5, DOOM, Overwatch, Battlefield 4, Titanfall, or Rainbow Six Seige over it anyday.

Sure I get that. There's pro and cons. Everyone has an opinion. I respect that. I personally like the game but there could've been more. Hopefully future updates fix it.

Main issue is that it feels and plays nothing like old Battlefront games did, it's a CoD with Star Wars paint job.

It also lacks content, has way too much arcade-ish mechanics and does not promote teamwork in any possible way.

It looks and sounds really nice but beyond that has very little depth to it as noted. The lack of content for the price they were asking also simply made the game not worth it. Even at $40 on PC people are questioning if Overwatch is worth it, and that has rather well crafted class based gameplay at the core with a lack of content.

Considering I don't like CoD either I'm not sure being better than it is a huge accomplishment in my books =P Give me a fast paced old school style shooter like DOOM over those modern military shooters any day(which I'm going to call Battlefront one because it acts like one, despite having a sci-fi coat of paint on it).

As far as the thread's actual topic goes, I don't really know. Mass Effect has rather unique gameplay that I'd rather not mess with by shifting it too much towards something like Battlefield.

I like your idea of the whole overheat reload recharge system. It's a good idea.

The overheating mechanics would work quite well though as they are an improved version of such mechanic in ME1

Well, game crowd tech you say from Mcllroy's Game? I'm not looking forward to it at all!

Here, read REDDIT: https://www.reddit.c...ilroy_pga_tour/

Now, Wiki has Crowd Control as limiting mobs in combat. And....:

"...it can also refer to abilities that influence or prevent the abilities or actions of other characters. Crowd control can be extremely powerful, controlling the possible outcomes of an encounter, as it forces opponents to use a smaller set of abilities/actions. Players use crowd control to create offense/defense ratio imbalances between themselves and their opponents; used properly, CC often renders an opponent nearly useless, allowing the CCer to use abilities/actions against an opponent without fear of retaliation or response. In a group setting, crowd control often makes combat safer, easier, or viable..."

Wiki source: https://en.wikipedia..._(video_gaming)

I included the above because of the possible "HORDE" mode.  EA Play Andromeda video may give us a hint of what is to come.

Its pretty advanced. The tech I mean. I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing crowds of people interacting in social hubs.

For melee animations or whatever they should use some of the people from the UFC game. I want to see somethin like this in a sparring scene or just regular melee combat with the enemy. They could also implement hairstyles, customization options like your build, etc.

Agreed. The overheating mechanic in EABF is actually pretty good.

Overwatch is at least a well-designed and polished game that isn't charging you extra for the post-release content, unlike Battlefront.

If this works the way I think it does, we might see a much greater variety of hair and clothing styles than we've seen in the past. Otherwise, we'd be looking at crowds of clones.

it's a lot better than past tech. They had pixelated people and stand stills in social hubs. Didn't even feel alive. That made me more angry than the endings without the cut.
