I just loaded up my game and it sent me a message. Goes roughly as follows.

You last played this game on another console would you like to restart and use your old data?

Now, this isn't true. I last played it on this console, irrelevant right? No.

If I load the data from my old console will it delete my current saves is the question?

Any help would be nice. I'd also like to know how this is even possible when my old console is dead buried and cremated.

If i could help you then i would but i don't really know for sure if you would delete your current saves while loading your old data from your old console to your "new" console.

 

As i said i can't really help you sorry .

I tried searching online for this exact error message, and this thread was the most relevant result. None of the other pages have turned up anything useful. I will keep searching and maybe I will find something. 

 

What console are you on? Maybe that will help.

It's ok guys I risked it and nothing happened I have no idea if my old saves were added or what it was xbox 360 it's my third with this profile and I've never gotten that message before so I thought best be safe.

Delete your profile and redownload it through XBL.

 

It was a problem for loads of people the other day after the new MW3 maps released. It wiped everyones achievements and gave them the same error.

 

It was down to MS moving a load of XBL user data from 1 server to another, which balls up the profiles updating on the server themselves.

ZipZap2000, I doubt you will have to delete your profile (I do not recommend it unless you are out of other options).

 

Anyway i searched for "You last played this game on another console", got about a page's worth of results, few of them useful.

 

Without knowing more (and not being in Microsoft Xbox tech support) I cannot really help you further. Seems like something was sensitive to a hardware change. Did you move/copy the game save to a different hard drive/Xbox with the same profile? Are you using cloud saves and downloaded it to a new console? Are you using cloud saves and the same console (in which case the save data may have been retrieved from a different cloud server in which case it should still be okay I think).

Something similar happened to me to you put so much time and effort in those saves and then you lose it all indeed this is how you feel then  sad.
